Our ultra-fast Daily: Three takes on new products. Yesterday’s top ten launches. That’s it.
BEST products of the year so far! 🏆😺
This past month was filled with hundreds of product launches, from companies big and small. Opera gave birth to the browser of the future, Snap planted a money tree in their backyard, and we got to see one of the best landing pages of all time.
May was an unforgettable month, and not just because of Startup Graveyard or the most upvoted comment of all time. For a full recap, here are the 31 Best Product Launches from the past month.
And if you're feeling nostalgic about what technology was like a long time ago, check out the Best of January, February, March, and April collections on Product Hunt.

It finally happened.
Ever since Marc Andreessen stopped tweeting, "Tech Twitter" has never been the same. But late last night the moment we've all been waiting for finally happened, @pmarca started tweeting again! Fireworks. Retweets. Celebrations. 🎉
Speaking of Twitter, we gotta talk integrations. You can mass unfollow everyone with this extension, get an email when someone unfollows you with this service, and give someone the ultimate compliment by getting their (or your own) tweets framed. Also, the app that @pmarca is using in the header to share screenshots of text is called OneShot. It's pretty great.
P.S. Rahul built a Chrome Extension that shows you Product Hunt stats right in your Twitter timeline.
P.S.S. If you want to get Twitter Verified follow these steps.

The 34 Best Mac Menu Bar Apps 🖥
A few months ago, we launched Ask Product Hunt, a community-powered product search engine. To date, more than 2,300 questions have been submitted, with one of the most popular ones being: What is your favorite MacOS menu bar app? 🤔
Community members recommended over 100 different products, including essential menu bar apps like f.lux, iStat Menus, and Caffeine. Lesser known - but equally downloadable – favorites like Rocket, Quitter, and Escape also made the recommendations list.
Mac menu bar apps come in all shapes and colors. Some make you more productive, others are known for just the opposite.
Here are 34 of the best Mac menu bar apps, and if you don’t see your favorite, recommend it here.

Everything Apple Launched at WWDC 🛠🚀
The first day of Apple's World Wide Developers Conference did not disappoint. The company announced impressive new hardware products, new apps, and new operating systems.
Let's start with hardware. The iMac Pro is both badass and stunning. It comes in space grey and it's one powerful machine. Apple also launched a new iPad Pro (thinner-faster-better), a music-focused Alexa competitor powered by Siri, and a new Siri-centric Watch Operating System.
Speaking of which, the new iPhone and Mac operating systems are here! The top comment on MacOS High Sierra is "Boring" (we promise there are new things), while iOS 11 is a totally different story. Apple is taking on Dropbox with an innovative new cloud-based filing system. They also showed off their new AR technology, reminiscent of Facebook’s recently announced Camera Effects platform, and launched a direct Venmo competitor (but it’s buried in iMessage so Venmo’s in the clear).
Also, we got a surprise sequel to 2014's game of the year!

The reason Bitcoin & Ethereum are surging 💰📈
The blockchain is arguably the most disruptive social idea since the internet itself. In the past few weeks, the price of digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum has started to reflect it. This is partly due to investor speculation, but the main reason for the incredible run-up is that we may have found the killer use case.
Tokens, or "appcoins" are a scarce digital asset based on underlying technology inspired by Bitcoin. They are not equity, but are more like Kickstarter on steroids. For example, Product Hunt could launch "KittyCoins" to finance operations directly from the community. Another example is how the Brave Browser team just raised $30M for their Basic Attention Token ICO in 24 seconds (you read that correctly).
Balaji Srinivasan authored an article this weekend that explains tokens' true potential. We're in the early days, but tokens will transform technology tomorrow, they say.
Naval and Balaji answered some of the community's blockchain related product questions:
Q: What is the best product you've seen lately for blockchain? Both Naval and Balaji had the same answer.
Q: What is the best Coinbase alternative? Naval said that Coinbase's GDAX exchange and Kraken are his go-to exchanges (and warned not to leave currency at an exchange). See Naval's full answer.
Q: What's a good book to start learning about cryptocurrency? Balaji recommended Mastering Bitcoin, plus more recommendations.
Q: Which non-financial blockchain project are you most excited about? Naval recommended Blockstack, calling it a "Very ambitious project to decentralize identity and user data and to allow construction of fully decentralized applications." See Naval's full answer.
For more crypto/blockchain product discussion, we've compiled Naval, Balaji, and the community's product recommendations on Medium.

Microsoft’s new Snapchat competitor 👀👻
Skype has been completely redesigned (and looks a lot like Snapchat). Microsoft's popular video calling tool now includes a host of social features, including:
• Slack emoji reactions
• Houseparty video calls
• Facebook bots
But the reboot wouldn’t be complete in 2017 without Stories. Skype calls them Highlights, a familiar feature for Snapchat users but with one BIG innovation: Highlights last a full 7 days.
Jokes aside, the 13-year-old app feels modern and far more fun than the Skype we grew up with. Check it out.

Android co-founder launches stunning iPhone competitor
Android co-founder Andy Rubin just revealed his incredibly ambitious project: to create a phone that is better than what Samsung and (6 months later) Apple can come up with. Meet, the Essential Phone.
It's a high-end masterpiece. With an edge-to-edge display that wraps around the camera, no home button, and no headphone jack technology, Andy Rubin is brining you the latest innovations in the smartphone industry. The phone is made out of a titanium body, a ceramic build, and no logo. If it blows up there will be nobody to blame. Brilliant.
The most interesting part is Andy Rubin's vision: a phone (and an entire device ecosystem) that connect to each other seamlessly. Learn more by watching Andy Rubin's Code Conference interview.

Best. Landing Page. Ever.
Every so often a true gem comes along, for something very specific. Peek is one of those products, and it has the one of the best landing pages we’ve seen this year. It's clearly well designed, and the copy is brilliant.
The first thing you'll notice is in big bold letters: "Insert attractive marketing jargon." You'll navigate through the different sections, learn more about the product, appreciate the team's obvious design skills (and laugh quite a bit).
By the end, both marketers and engineers will wish they were as bold as the makers of Peek.
