Uber just acquired this startup for ~$200M 🚴♂️💰

Today, Uber announced their acquisition of the bright red, bike-rental startup JUMP, which has already deployed 250 electric, dock-less bicycles on the streets of San Francisco in an initial pilot.
Users are taking between 6 and 7 rides a day. They're incredibly popular.
This isn't the first time these two companies have appeared on the same headline: Uber partnered with JUMP months ago so riders could rent a bike directly from the Uber app.
In addition to SF, JUMP bikes are already riding around Washington D.C. and soon Sacramento and Providence later this year.
JUMP isn’t the only one innovating on last-miles transportation:
🚁 Google's Larry Paige backed the Kitty Hawk, a personal flying car designed that looks a lot like a massive drone.
🕳️ Elon Musk's Boring Company wants to build tunnels that criss-cross your city and cut your entire commute down to minutes.
🛩️ The Flyride actually lets you fly, using uber-powerful jets of water.
👟 Low-tech Flaneurz convert your sneakers into clip-on rollerskates.
📈 The Onewheel is a self-balancing electric skateboard with only one wheel. Modern version of the hoverboards that went #viral last year.

We asked 34 customers what Viktor does for them. Not one said chatbot.

They kept using words like colleague, coworker, team member. One CEO called it the glue holding their e-commerce business together, which is a lot, but also… you see why. It lives in Slack and plugs into 3,000+ tools, so instead of jumping between tabs, you just ask for the thing. Pull Stripe against HubSpot, check Sentry alerts, spin up a campaign brief, build a landing page, send a report upstairs. It all happens there.
It has already hit top 5 on Product Hunt with 130 comments, is SOC 2 certified, and your data does not train models. One user said it was the first time AI felt like a real coworker, which is either exciting or slightly concerning depending on your week.
