What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

  1. wispr flow to type my things quickly

  1. Figma because I am a designer. The most basic things that I still need are:

  2. Claude and ChatGPT for thinking quickly, brainstorming, summarising,

  3. RecallFox to learn new things and then remember them later, so with AI I don't loose my brain cells

  4. Granola for meeting notes because it's so simple and so easy that I keep on using that.

  5. for adding videos, because being a designer, I usually create interactions and share that with my team.

  6. Raycast comes into play for ease.

    Definitely not five, but these are the apps that I definitely install the moment I start using Mac.

 I can see that you stand for Bhava. How this one is present in your workflow? :)

 Bhava is a tool that I worked on but it doesn't actually stand in every single day's use case for me. It stands out when I have to draw diagrams, when I'm planning architecture and systems. In those cases it is super helpful but that's the thing which you do probably once in a week not every single day

Totally agree!! LinkedIn ban-prevention tools are seriously underrated. Most people obsess over content and copy, but the actual automation/outreach layer is where accounts get flagged, and there's surprisingly little built specifically for that. For anyone doing outbound or lead gen on LinkedIn, this feels like infrastructure, not a nice-to-have. Following SafeLimit's progress!

Almost all of the products I can't work without every day are mine. Oops 😂

1) – for jotting down thoughts and ideas for projects

2) TesterBuddy – for finding testers and testing my apps

3) / – for brainstorming and organizing ideas

4) – my programming buddy

5) – for cleaning up the mess left behind after development

 DevCleaner – what is labelled as that Mess?

 logs, delivered data from XCode, some caches,...

But there is like traffic light:

  • safe: things regenerate when you start project - selected by default

  • warning: things slow to regenerate (simulatores, emulators,...)

  • danger: core dev enviroment (delete only when you stop using that product)

Mine, as someone running a freelance web design practice solo:

Claude, most of my client comms, proposal copy, and general thinking-out-loud

Figma, quick mockups before I commit to a build

Stripe, invoicing/payments, non-negotiable

Notion, nowhere near organized without it

Studio OS Pro, my own tool (disclosure), it's basically CRM + wireframing + site publishing in one tab so I stopped bouncing between the other stuff I used to have open

Funny seeing how many stacks here are 2-3 AI tools deep now. Feels like the next shift is fewer standalone tools and more of them living inside one workspace.

My best 5 would be

  1. Codex - since I start with codex, claude code only help me to debug or restructure the project. Codex is so fast and strong

  2. Notion - still the best documentation application

  3. Luma - I'll use Luma agent to produce all the product assets

  4. - using racoonn to find my early user from social media for free

  5. Linear - easy to use and manage bug

Hi! I've found my top 5 evolving with time.

What's remained unchanged:

  1. Google suite: Calendar, Sheets and emails

  2. Calendly: Still seamless for scheduling external calls.

  3. Claude: I use the Claude CLI for creating internal tracking systems and CRM. However, that has evolved.

What's changed:

  • I've been working on building a tool called mybrains.ai, which for me has replaced Notion, Monday, Trello, hibob, and others.

  • It connects seamlessly with my Telegram, and gives a daily summary/digest of my meetings, open items, follow-ups, etc.

Side bar: It's still early but we have a working version ready. If anyone would like to try it out and share some feedback with me, I'd be very appreciative. Happy to share the link.
