Instead of blocking transactions at checkout, Prevent stars working right after the checkout has been complete, running it through advanced ML algorithms and assessing the customer trustworthiness through our vast network, consisting of 15,000 merchants. Most fraud solutions are looking only at the transaction elements such as the credit card AVS, CVV, billing and shipping addresses, which are important for fraud prevention but not friendly fraud. Prevent is assessing a customer based on his past online purchase, chargeback and returns behavior, which is crucial to prevent friendly fraud.

Congrats on the launch! I've had a few disputes with a small <1M brand and they were annoying to deal with. At what scale does it make sense to use this?

Larger stores benefit from scale, catching repeat abusers across thousands of orders and cutting operational overhead. Because pricing is usage-based and starts with 1,000 free scans, itβs flexible enough to make sense from day one and still powerful as you grow.

Congrats on the launch team. What kind of access would you need to a Stripe account to monitor it for fraud? And do you do the work to fight the fraud or do you just notified me via email or something?
@kensavageΒ Hey Ken, thank you. Prevent has launched for Shopify right now, if you're using Shopify with Stripe, it automatically works and does not need to integrate with your Stripe account. We'll be launching our direct Stripe integration pretty soon and will require minimum permissions.
Regrading monitoring or taking action - Prevent has a built-in next generation workflow builder that allows you to auto-approve, put on hold (for further verification) or cancel orders based on their risk score and many other parameters.

Every order goes through first, then Prevent analyzes it post-checkout and recommends the right action: approve & ship, verify the buyer, or cancel.
