You hit walls fast. Anything beyond basic logic requires workarounds that take longer than just writing the code yourself.

Documentation is thin and the platform dependency means if they shut down or change pricing, you're stuck. Hard to recommend when AI coding tools do more with less friction.

What's great

30+ days of work locked because of a workspace trap.

Extremely frustrating................

I honestly don’t even know where to start.

I spent over 30 days building an app on this platform. Real users. Real data. Real work. I paid €50 to continue working on it, thinking everything was straightforward.

Then I moved the app to a shared workspace.

At NO point was it made crystal clear that this action was irreversible. No proper warning. No “this cannot be undone” in a way that actually makes you stop and think. And now I’m being told it can’t be moved back.

What exactly is the logic behind that?

So now my app... which I’ve invested serious time into..... is stuck in a workspace I don’t want it in, and apparently that’s just “how it works.”

That’s not a minor UX issue. That’s a fundamental trust issue.

If you are positioning yourself as a serious platform for builders and companies, irreversible structural actions should be OBVIOUS and clearly flagged. Not buried. Not subtle.

When you’ve spent 30+ days building something and then realize one click permanently changes its ownership context with no way back, it feels like a trap.

I’m beyond frustrated at this point. I reached out to the support- expected flexibility, transparency, control over my own app.

Right now, this experience feels careless toward users who are actually investing time and money into building on the platform.

I've tried a lot of ai app/web building software, and this one BY FAR was the best experience. It's user friendly, speedy, really good at making multiple edits, has a lot of power and creativity, and also gives you a lot of good content with just the free credits available. I got my first app version to 70% of the way there just by using the free trial. I've started recommending this to coworkers and friends who want to build amazing apps and websites. I think the only issue I encountered was on the user side, where I'm not sure how to best prompt everything I want in the app features. For instance, when I asked for a "spinner" animation for words to cycle through, it literally started spinning each word on it's axis, which was comical but also left me wondering how do I best describe what I want. It could be useful in the future to have a database of prompts that better communicate what you want as an additional feature, or if you mark it as questionable, maybe the ai can offer solutions or try to better understand you somehow even without much prompting knowledge.

The guy almost single-handedly disrupted the market position of leading ERP and SaaS companies. Base44 helped me quickly build a beautifully designed platform for the project I was in charge of, enabling real-time coordination among designers, clients, and the construction team. The flexibility is outstanding, and I believe the more complex data interactions can be further strengthened through iterative testing and refinement. That said, I still hope the mid-tier pricing could be a bit more affordable.
