Honest wrap-up: NiceJourney's ups & downs

by

With the new year around the corner, we’re doing what many others are doing: looking back.

I started using PH this summer, slowly trying to understand how the platform works (I still have doubts about some features, but I'm making progress at least.)

At first, my goal was simple: engage authentically. I didn’t want to comment just for visibility or talk about things I didn’t care about. So I stayed low-profile, joined conversations that genuinely interested me, and tried posting a few threads before launching NiceJourney (this last part didn’t go that great, actually, as the majority of my threads were rejected).

Then my partner and I decided to launch NiceJourney, and that’s when the real rollercoaster began.

We were excited and scared at the same time, and we wanted the website to be perfect, while still juggling some client work. We first said we’d launch by the end of September… and eventually launched in early November.

Those weeks were intense: some days we were confident about what we were building, while others we wanted to change everything.

Before the launch, we only had 2 followers (my partner and me, obviously).

On launch day, we got 31 upvotes and roughly the same number of followers.
Over time, that number grew to 44, and now it’s 42. Yes, we lost someone along the way.
Probably my fault. Guess my threads weren’t interesting enough, but that’s okay because I’m still learning.

All things considered, we’re happy with how it went.
And, as always, already thinking about improvements: the website (again), the packages, and the offer itself.

We'll keep engaging here on PH because we really like it, and we've met some very interesting people (just hope that my threads will get better).

But for now, we’re taking a break from social media and online platforms during the holidays.

A sincere thank you to everyone who supported us, commented, upvoted, or followed along.
It meant more than you know.

See you next year!
