Does anyone else feel like "Building" has become faster than "Validating"?
by•
With tools like v0, Cursor, and Bolt, I feel like I can spin up a functional MVP in a weekend. The engineering barrier is dropping fast.
But actually validating if anyone wants the product... that still feels like the slow part.
It feels like a weird paradox in 2025:
Building the solution: Instant / AI-assisted.
Finding the problem (Talking to users): Still manual, slow, and hard.
Is it just me? Are you guys just "shipping and praying" because building is so cheap now? Or do you have a way to validate ideas as fast as you code them?

Everybody builds fast, we have more tools than ever. The thing is that when anyone can build, who will buy? 🤷♀️

@bekjon_ibragimov Acquisition costs are higher than ever, considering everyone now is a builder fighting for the same users. So I would respectfully disagree on the fact that building becomes validating. GTM is still slow. Getting users is still costly & slow. The point of the matter would be how fast you are talking to your users and then cutting those feedback into your new product. This is the exact problem we are trying to solve with Userology.co

Same. I run 48h validation sprints. One-page landing, Loom demo, $9 checkout (pre-order is fine), plus ~20 laser-targeted DMs/emails. If I don’t get replies, clicks, or $ in 2 days, I kill or tweak. Build is cheap now attention isn’t.

@alexcloudstar This is sick, really admire the pace of validation. Most builders fail to be raw and truthful about the product they love so much on how it's doing in the market.
Same here. Development has sped up a lot. The competition between products is huge. It’s getting harder and takes longer to stand out and get attention to your product, even just to validate it :(

@alena_esakova Completely agree on this. Acquisition costs are higher than ever. The builder understands their customers more deeply, would ultimately win.
