Hello Product Hunters πŸ‘‹ Publicate co-founder here, huge thanks for hunting us @Sujan! Our goal at Publicate is to empower the world to create better content marketing assets like email newsletters and weekly web roundups, and we believe curation is at the heart of this. We all spend a lot of time finding awesome content everyday, and with Publicate you can now turn it all into powerful content marketing, without the hassle of cumbersome editors and formatting, giving you more time to just focus on finding the content your audiences will love. We’ve been working hard to update Publicate with some great features πŸš€ Like the content library, which now connects to all of your favourite sources - RSS, Feedly, Pocket, Slack, Cronycle etc so you can automatically build and organise a resource of great content for when you need it. The editor has been overhauled so you can just drag and drop from your library to any of your Publications, and we have added new customisation features like Call to Actions, Dividers, Titles, Social Share and Social Follow. It also remembers any styles and colours you have used so you can select from existing rather than recreating, saving more time. You can now also save templates, copy Publications, and even convert email to web so you can turn a newsletter into a blog post and visa versa. And finally everything you create in Publicate can be exported as mobile responsive HTML, so it plays nicely with the tools you are already using like Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Wordpress, Ghost.io, even Gmail and Outlook. I’m excited to hear your feedback! (You don’t have to sign up to give it a try, just hit start creating now to check it out)

I recently started using Revue, which I really enjoy. How does this compare?
Chris Bradley
Hey @rrhoover πŸ‘‹ Good question, Revue is an awesome product, and great for setting up a regular newsletter. We differ in a couple of ways, rather then it just being about a regular newsletter to a set list of subscribers, with Publicate you have total flexibility of what you create and where you send it out. So we see a lot of our customers using Publicate for internal newsletters with specific teams or as updates to clients etc. You can also create curated web embeds and pages with Publicate, which work with most CMS systems. We made a conscious decision to focus on curation and creation, and then integrate with other tools for sharing and publishing, which means we also have more advanced editing and customisation options.

@briscradley @rrhoover it sounds like you're saying "we do that and then some"

Great, I imagine this makes the newsletter creation a much more manageable ordeal. How are you guys tackling the problem of organizing / ranking content? ie. do you help users with deciding what content they should be distributing?
Chris Bradley
Hey @michaelenriquez! For organising content you can add tags, drag to organise in folders and we have a powerful search. We also pull in tags that you have added in other services like Feedly and Pocket to help keep things the way you like, and you can organise content on the fly into folders and tags with the browser extension. You can also see and filter which content has been added to previous Publications, making it easy to know what has and hasn't already been used. We don't currently suggest which is the best content to use, but it is something we are working on, so watch this space πŸ˜‰
Michael Enriquez
@briscradley Great! For me, I think the interesting application (and challenge) is that suggested content. Ie. If I'm a busy marketer / event organizer / etc., and I have been sending out these emails for a month now, are there things that I can learn from previous emails (ie. click through rates, engagement, etc) that will help me serve better content my readers.
Chris Bradley
@michaelenriquez exactly what we are looking at, trends over time so we can give valuable insight and advice πŸ‘

This little baby is THE best! I have been using it for a few years now. I collect everything in PocketApp and send it to Voice Dream Reader on iOS and to Publicate then share tips with people in email directly via Gmail and also run curated newsletters for our coworking space and clients. After a workshop it is a GREAT way to share links with attendees, it looks good for them and also with the chrome plugins for Pocket and Publicate I can quickly gather webpages, tag them and share them. This saves HOURS of boring copy and paste. As each publication is a 'webpage' I share the link to the webpage via, DM, SMS, Slack, FB, email so on projects can spread the word on one thing fast. I'd do this for project info with people I was working with, it would be creepy and spammy to do it with 'out reach' or sales content.
Chris Bradley
Some fantastic use-cases there @bernie_j_mitchell! Thanks for the insight and for being such an awesome Publicator πŸ‘
