Fabulous addition to a world-class product!

I've been using OpenPhone for over 4 years now. While it’s not perfect, it's by far the best product out there. I've recommended it to many of my SMB clients and even customized a desk phone solution for one client who needed traditional phones for their employees. I’m confident OpenPhone will become the top B2C communication platform in the years to come !

We've been using OpenPhone for years and an API was the only thing that was ever missing. Now that it's here, we're looking forward to making OpenPhone a permanent part of our tech stack. Onward!

@bowden_kelly appreciate you being a customer, Bowden! What you planning on building with the API?

We're super excited to explore this api and discover totally new efficiencies. @mahyarraissi, @darynakulya and the whole team at OP are doing some great work! There's no way we'd be able to run our businesses as efficiently as we do if OpenPhone weren't around.

@heston_williams those words mean a lot, thank you Heston! Let me know if there's a particular workflow or integration that would help you!

@darynakulya Was one of the users asking for API - stoked to see it released. Haven't read through current exposed abilities yet. But, former tech Product Mgr so sharing for your benefit: We are in the Property Management space. Issue is operating the business requires industry-specific software (Yardi, DoorLoop, Buildium, etc), but those tools try to build every feature themselves. And, they don't do it well. One of those features is communication with tenants, which is *overwhelmingly* done through text. It's also the *key* use case for delighting our customers. Our intention with the OpenPhone API is to properly support tenant communication through the industry software - in our case, DoorLoop. This means, for example: 1. Eliminating "no reply" text phone numbers. 2. Synchronizing contact lists -- OpenPhone needs to reflect, not own contact info 3. Pull in communication done through OpenPhone into PM software to provide cross-communication channel history of communication. 4. Making everything work correctly with Slack and channel naming conventions for activity fire-hosing. Was surprised to see the API release, so no immediate plans to begin working on this, but sharing so you're aware of where one user's head is at. :peace:

@vistanine you should be able to do most of these things and I also think you should chat with @jurajpal re: partnering. your use case is exactly what we want to support here
Daryna Kulya
@vistanine correction: we support all of this :)
Juraj Pal
@vistanine thanks for sharing this! I've had the chance recently to learn more about many of the tools you mention and this use case is something we'd love to help you with. Mind if we take this off Product Hunt and connect over the next few weeks?

Awesome product for me

You guys are great at adding new features but still have bugs that have not been resolved for 2 years. One of the main ones is "open conversations," which do not change their status and remain marked as a new message.
Juraj Pal
@jaceperry hi Jace! Mind emailing me at juraj@openphone.co? Would love to look into this for you.

@jurajpal sent you an email from jace@diamondinvestments.us

The webhooks were great, but the api will be life changing for custom crm app.

@jayesh_patel9 thanks Jayesh!
