This is excellent — the perfect desktop video editor to take the grunt work out of making great videos! I, for one, make far fewer videos than I should because they just take so damn long to produce and this is exactly what leaning into AI is all about — unlocking the lazy creative in all of us! I'm here for it.

For the past 6-7 months, I've been using Captions extensively, and it's transformed my approach to social media-first video editing. This app is a godsend for anyone overwhelmed by the time demands of video production or (like me) those unfamiliar with video production. Its AI utilization is remarkably effective, making creative video editing accessible, even for those of us without formal training in the field. I've become such a fan of Captions that I recommend it to nearly all my friends (all of which are social media creators). It's not just me; it's a game-changer for everyone, streamlining all of our video editing processes and boosting our content output. 🚀 A huge shoutout is due to the Customer Success/Product Support teams (Eli & Mara 👀👀) for their incredible work. For a SAAS product, especially one used intensively by 'power users' (at one point, I was churning out 30-50 pieces of content daily so I hope I fall into that category), having responsive and attentive support/success is crucial. Their willingness to listen to and act on feedback significantly enhances the user experience and makes me a sticky-user even at the points where I don't find myself using the app as often. In every aspect, Captions crushes it.

Captions is awesome! Been using it for a year for content and even content for Product Hunt's social accounts :) and the subtitles feature is the best out there! I just find it hard sometimes to edit in the mobile and do the very small editing so I'm curious to see changes around that! Feature request: being able to remove all "supersize" and "emphasize" text in one click 😅

I loved using this app! I'm a huge fan of Alex Hormozi and his content and this is such an easy way to quickly make similar subtitles. I also like how customizable it is and how much time it saves you compared to manually doing these yourself - which I used to do, and which cost me at least 1.5h every time.

We use Captions at Product Hunt (as @claraclara_eloy mentioned)! The first time she showed it to me I literally slacked her "captions is sweeeeet." I had been using descript alone for captioning our podcast and Captions was so much better. Congrats on the launch!

Wow! Looks really amazing and super professional! Going for a test ride just now. Keep it going! Yet can't find the pricing section, it would be a shame to find out it to expensive for at the moment you want to export the edited video after all effort and time.

The suite of features in Captions is impressive, making it a powerhouse for spicing up video content. I'm curious, how did you balance introducing advanced features like eye-contact correction with maintaining a user-friendly platform? It's a challenge we're familiar with at Checky Bear, as we work to blend comprehensive security and monitoring in a package that's accessible to website owners of all skill levels.

Tried both Mac app and web version, my video just stalls out at 50% of "Creating your project..." Will try another file but not a promising start.

As a AI-focused content creator, I try AI tools on daily basis; Captions is one of the most tools that stand out! I use it to caption my videos in Arabic, translate them into English, and sometimes even use dubbing to English. It is very accurate, the templates are great and super awesome, and more importantly they update and add new features all the time. All the best for Captions' team.

<3 Captions on iOS, but there are definitely instances where I'd prefer to use the MBP. Can't wait to give it a spin, and congrats on the launch, @dwightchurchill and team!
