There is nothing better than come home with hands full of stuff and just tell Alexa to turn on the lights.

Thington will help you control your whole smart home, including your Hue lights. The interface is gorgeous and solves a higher level problem too. Similar to Apple's Home, but if you're not on iOS, they will be developing a web and Android version soon.

If you are on iOS, any device that is Apple Homekit enabled, including your Hue bulbs, can be controlled nicely here. I love the feature to set scenes, so you're not controlling individual bulbs manually every time.

If you've got a home-bound iPad or Apple TV, this'll work remotely as well. Shortcuts in Control Center and Siri make it the most seamless choice, but you need the newer version of the bridge.

My Philips Hue app for OSX– has a quick menubar access dropdown, supports groups, different types of Hue lights, and a nice easy-to-use UI.
