Why does CRM work still feel like a second job?

by

I built ChatRM because I kept seeing the same pattern over and over:

  • Sales conversations happen in real time.

  • CRM work usually occurs later.

That gap is where deals go stale, pipelines drift from reality, and teams end up doing CRM cleanup to keep reports “clean.”

ChatRM takes a different approach. The CRM work happens in Slack right when the intent is clear, so accuracy is a byproduct rather than a chore.

I’m curious how others experience this:

  • What part of CRM work feels the most like busywork?

  • Where do deals usually start to fade in your process?

  • Have you tried running parts of your CRM inside Slack or chat tools before?

Would love to hear what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what you wish CRMs did less of.
