Some deep work tips!

🧠 Deep work ≠ “more focus.” It’s about less friction.

Most students try forcing themselves to focus…

But the brain works better when you reduce stress + decisions first.

Try this:

1️⃣ 60 seconds of slow breathing before studying

Inhale 4s → exhale 6–8s.

Longer exhales = brain switches into “thinking mode.”

2️⃣ Start with a tiny entry task

Not “Study Chapter 3.”

Do: “Read first paragraph” or “Solve 1 question.”

Momentum builds automatically.

3️⃣ Plan only the next 25 minutes

Too many decisions = burnout.

Short, clear loops work best.

4️⃣ Breaks = reset, not scrolling

Stand up, water, look far away, one calm breath.

Come back fresher.

5️⃣ Stop at 80%

Leave a little unfinished — your brain wants to return.

If you want help timing breathing, logging moods, or using gentle focus timers — Avina makes it easier… but these work even without any app.

Deep work isn’t discipline.

It’s nervous-system management.
