How do you decide what is actually worth your time as a founder?

One thing I keep noticing is that almost everything can feel important when you are building.

Posting content, talking to users, improving the product, replying to comments, checking analytics, fixing small bugs, testing new channels, networking, reading advice, watching competitors.

All of it can be useful.

But not all of it moves the business forward at the same stage.

What's your go-to music when building your product?

I've spent several hours building websites, and the energy source I depend on (except food, etc.) is MUSIC! What do you usually listen to when building your product? Fun question (If you have launched): What were you listening to after launching your product?

🤔What are you building (April)

Maybe you are not ready yet to submit it oficially, but you are building something nice. Share it with the community and ask for help/feedback. Go!

I write the Product Hunt newsletter. Here's how to get featured in it.

Hey everyone

I'm Aaron and for the last few years I've been writing the Product Hunt newsletters. That includes: our daily, weekly, developer tools, and AI tools ones. Every morning I look through the homepage to try and find the coolest products to write about and I want to share with you all what I look in a launch so you can increase your chances of getting featured!

Why are AI vision tokens so much cheaper than text tokens for long context windows? 💸

Anthropic and Google charge heavy text token rates when you feed them huge context windows, logs, or codebases. But if you render that exact same text into a dense PNG, vision OCR pricing kicks in cutting overall token costs by ~60%.

I'm trying to fix my “staying informed” workflow, but I still spend way too long hunting for news

I've been trying to fix my "staying informed" workflow, and honestly I'm not sure I've cracked it.

I set up AI to send me a daily digest of what's been happening which helps. But I still end up spending a lot of time wandering around different sites, checking whether there's some big news I missed. The digest gives me a baseline, but it doesn't kill the FOMO, so I keep manually poking around anyway.
