Is Product Hunt still worth launching on?

by

I have seen a lot of people step back from platforms like LinkedIn after watching established accounts get randomly restricted without clear explanations. It makes you realize how risky is it to rely heavily on a platform that can pull the rug on your reach out of nowhere.

That situation made me rethink product Hunt. it used to be the go-to place for real feedback from early adopters. lately, though, it feels dominated by upvote groups, artificial praise, and makers trading favors. It's hard to tell if a top spot actually brings real users anymore or just temporary noise.

For anyone launching recently, where do you stand? Is Product Hunt still delivering real traction, or has it become too noisy to be worth the effort?

I think launch quality matters more than chasing a specific position now. If the product solves a real problem, getting the right people to notice it can matter more than topping the leaderboard.

i still think Product Hunt is worth launching on, but my expectations are different now. I’d treat it more as a place to get early feedback and visibility than a guaranteed source of users.

I think it's still useful, but I'd measure it by the quality of users and feedback , not the leaderboard position . Has anyone seen meaningful retention from a Product Hunt launch ?

Hello, top #9 2 weeks ago, 45 real users in 2 days and after the traffic is very low on the landing page. I'm trying to promote mossy from others channels now. I write a thread when I update the app to notify the communauty.

I have seen launches get tons of votes and barely any actual users.

For me, the best PH outcome wouldn't necessarily be #1. It would be finding a handful of users who actually have the problem and are willing to keep talking to you.

The real value for me is feedback, not the leaderboard spot.

I think PH can be useful but i wouldn't rey on the marketing alone to judge whether a launch worked.

I still think Product Hunt is worth it, but upvotes aren’t everything. For me, the best part is meeting makers, getting real feedback, and connecting with the right people.

The community feedback can be worth ,ore than the launch ranking.
