I keep relearning the same lesson: the first version I am proud of is usually two or three weeks later than the version I should have shown people. What works for me now is a short checklist. Can a new user finish the one core task without me explaining it? Does it fail gracefully when they do something unexpected? Can I see what they did afterwards? If those three are true, I ship it to a small group even if the design is rough. Where do you draw the line between too early and too late?

I m a product designer, and vibe coding has changed where Figma fits into my process.

I still use simple prototypes when I need to review the overall flow and context with the team.

But when I actually want to test an idea, I m increasingly going straight to building it with AI instead.

A working version lets me test things that are hard to judge in a static design, especially interactions and how the whole flow feels when you actually use it.

Tried asking a couple LLMs for software recommendations in my niche without mentioning my brand name.

Turned out ChatGPT named us near the top but Claude completely ignored us.

It s pretty random because the results seem to change every few days anyway.

Has anyone successfully tweaked their site copy or docs to actually get picked up by these AI search tools?
