At @Mintlify, we love beautiful docs.

So, when we stumbled upon Fumadocs, it was love at first sight. We *love* Fumadocs and are proud sponsors.

Really happy to share it with the community ❤️

Oh and it's open-source! We're in October, it's Hacktoberfest — Star this repo

Great stuff! What's the significant difference compared to Nextra?
Kane
I found a clear comparison table, it's awesome! https://fumadocs.vercel.app/docs...

@blueeon we built it natively on App Router, while Nextra is still adopting it. This allows us to build different automation tools that’s tightly integrated with App Router and React Server Component (RSC), and it has been working great! We have a comparison page in the docs too.
Kane
@fuma_nama Yes, I found the comparison doc. Thanks for your work.

I really like the look of Fumadocs! The flexibility and speed are impressive. It's a solid tool for creating professional-looking docs without a lot of hassle. Nice work on this project!

How to enable the `Ask AI` feature? Can't find the documentation.

@blueeon that’s currently provided by Orama Cloud, their React integration is amazing

I often write down some random thoughts in my notebook and finally lose track of them. Does it mean that Fumadocs can help me organize the content and form an article? That would be great! Congrats on the launch!
Fuma Nama
@linda_yanlin Fumadocs is mainly a developer-facing framework. You can use it to make a blog/docs site similar to Docusaurus/Mintlify, and host it everywhere. But it's not notebooks like Notion that offers a content editor out-of-the-box. If you love Markdown/MDX and writing some code, Fumadocs is nice ;)

@fuma_nama Thanks for your reply!

Fumadocs is probably the best-in-class open-source docs solution in the market right now — excited to see this launch!

I can't tell you how many times I have built this internally and wished something like this to exists. Congrats on the launch!

A prime market, and a very sleek execution, too many times we've created and maintained in-house ad-hoc attempts at this. So nice to see it released as OSS too! Congrats on the launch!

Huge congrats to the Fumadocs team on today's launch! I love how seamlessly you've integrated server-side data with MDX content using Next.js App Router. Quick question: How do you envision teams will most benefit from the automation tools in their everyday doc-building workflows?
Fuma Nama
@ihuzaifashoukat I think when you have a reliable source: OpenAPI Schema, Typescript definitions, you shouldn’t need to document them again manually. For smaller dev teams, being able to automate docs with a single source of truth helps them to focus on their real product
