A workflow automation platform that routes tasks to the right agent – human or AI. By connecting tools like Slack, Jira and Notion – Trace breaks down existing workflows, spots automation opportunities and embeds AI agents to repetitive tasks.
Trace tends to show up where workflows get complex. The parts of work that involve reasoning, coordination, and follow ups instead of simple triggers.
If you are using Trace, we want to hear how. What kind of workflow is it handling for you? What problem finally felt manageable once Trace was in the mix?
Hi Gang! Excited to announce that @arthur_romanov and I got nominated for our local Forbes 30U30 award - could you kindly support us by visiting the link below and smashing that button (under profile pic) to make sure we get the top vote Huge thank you for all your help over the years
Reviewers mostly say Trace is strong at turning rough prompts into workable, editable workflows and making it clear which steps belong to AI versus people. Users repeatedly praise the hybrid, human-in-the-loop model, saying it fits real team processes better than rigid automation tools and helps non-engineers build useful flows quickly. Founder feedback from the makers of Jupitrr AI and STORI adds concrete use cases like social posting, reporting, and website scraping. Common gaps are broader integrations, better alerts for failed runs, stronger debugging, APIs/webhooks, onboarding, and more reporting and control.
Used Trace several times at home, but was not allowed to use at work sadly. I work in finances and since Trace requests data to docs, so it's not allowed. I did use trace to summarise hackerNews articles and get the digest to my email everyday and it works very well. I want to schedule the runs though! It’s still early, but the core idea is strong.
I use it to scrape websites and create reporting, which works best for me in contrast to other agents i tried (Agent Builder from OAI) cause I have several steps I need to do myself and Trace is built around it

Glad to see you guys building the next venture. Total mess with AI automation nowadays, but Trace looks like something I want to try on my repetitive tasks in sales and finance. Keep building!
Very cool, I can definitely see the need for something like this as there seems to be too much focus on fully automating things, and the times when humans still need to be in the loop of it are getting left out. Congrats on the launch!
@britt_joiner thank you, Brittany! There are tons of automation tools right now (AI and non-AI), so we are trying to differentiate ourselves on the market

@britt_joiner@arthur_romanov there is just too many options nowadays, it's hard to choose the right thing for you. We are trying to find a middle ground between user control and ease of use
Amazing stuff @timcha_cherkasov! I’m a big fan. I'm going to test this right away and hopefully free myself from a bunch of boring weekly tasks. Excited to see how it works:)
@lipkovskiy hey Andrei, thanks for trying Trace! Random workflow from the top of my head - automate the back and forth communication with clients for your sales team
@kate_ramakaieva yes, we provide the dashboard where you can track all active workflows. We are working on making it much more comprehensive, like accessing the AI Agent performance, task state trackers with alarms and debug capabilities, task anomaly trackers monitoring things like "how long it has been stale", etc. A lot of new things are coming very soon!
@kate_ramakaieva, hey Kate, please let us know if there are any specific features you would like to see in the dashboard. Breakdown of AI agent run stats is the one which was requested the most.

@kate_ramakaieva thanks Kate, you can check state of workflows from the menu right now. As @arthur_romanov said more comprehensive dashboard is coming soon.
Awesome launch @timcha_cherkasov 👏 I remember Clustr back in the day, so stoked to see your next chapter. This looks like a tool every ops team should have in their stack.

@pavel_sher Thank you. Ops teams were at the top of our mind when building Trace. A usual approach of sticking tools together and then trying to make ChatGPT solve the problem rarely works. Excited for you to try us out! Please let us know if you have any feedback
@pavel_sher thanks, Paul. Clustr times were fun, now we are off to the new challenge! As Andrei said, we are targeting ops teams, so please let us know if you have anyone who is interested
@nikitaeverywhere Hey Nikita, yes it is! We started building with our own use-case in mind
@andrei_i (our cpo) was building things for his personal stuff, like recreating Excel Macros (“Look up company quarterly earnings, parse their 10-Qs, fill up this spreadsheet given historical examples”).
We are experimenting internally with things like competitor analysis, building reports, notifying us of external triggers. For example, there is a workflow to monitor this page for new comments, and I get tagged on Slack if it is worth my checking out and replying.
Absolutely — solopreneurs can use Trace to automate routine tasks like email follow-ups, content planning, or project tracking, saving time for high-priority work

Trace
@saalse thanks, Alex. Yeah, there are tons of AI startups nowadays, very hard to choose, setup and make it work. Hopefully, we can simplify it!
@saalse @arthur_romanov people don't understand prompt and context engineering. Not their fault, but that's inherent to the new tech
Trace
@saalse thank you Alex. There are tons of new automation stuff, but no understanding of how to use it. Curse of the new technology 🤷

@britt_joiner we are not AI-doomers. There is a place for a human and will always be. Philosophy behind Trace
Trace
Thanks! That’s exactly why we built Trace — balancing automation with human oversight to keep workflows practical.

Hey team! Good luck with the launch!
Great tool. Would love to see the collection of use cases.
@lipkovskiy thanks, Andrey! We will do blog posts on new updates, and giving a review of the interesting use-cases would be interesting.

Huge congrats on the launch 👏
We run multiple cross-functional projects, and I constantly struggle with visibility. Does Trace give a central “dashboard” of all active workflows?

@timcha_cherkasov @pavel_sher Ah that means a lot 🙏 Clustr was a wild ride, and we learned a ton that carried over into Trace.
