A workflow automation platform that routes tasks to the right agent – human or AI. By connecting tools like Slack, Jira and Notion – Trace breaks down existing workflows, spots automation opportunities and embeds AI agents to repetitive tasks.
Trace tends to show up where workflows get complex. The parts of work that involve reasoning, coordination, and follow ups instead of simple triggers.
If you are using Trace, we want to hear how. What kind of workflow is it handling for you? What problem finally felt manageable once Trace was in the mix?
Hi Gang! Excited to announce that @arthur_romanov and I got nominated for our local Forbes 30U30 award - could you kindly support us by visiting the link below and smashing that button (under profile pic) to make sure we get the top vote Huge thank you for all your help over the years
Reviewers mostly say Trace is strong at turning rough prompts into workable, editable workflows and making it clear which steps belong to AI versus people. Users repeatedly praise the hybrid, human-in-the-loop model, saying it fits real team processes better than rigid automation tools and helps non-engineers build useful flows quickly. Founder feedback from the makers of Jupitrr AI and STORI adds concrete use cases like social posting, reporting, and website scraping. Common gaps are broader integrations, better alerts for failed runs, stronger debugging, APIs/webhooks, onboarding, and more reporting and control.
Consolidates project management, docs, email, and Slack into one workflow. The analytics make automation value clear for stakeholders.
What needs improvement
Wider integration library would support more teams. More in-depth reporting would enhance oversight.
vs Alternatives
We combined Jira, Notion, and Zapier before, which created data silos. Trace centralizes operations, reducing friction and strengthening our automation case for company leadership.
Turning vague plans into actionable workflows is fast, and hybrid nodes map closely to my team’s habits. Makes it easy to break down and delegate each step.
What needs improvement
Notifications lack detail on failed or stuck runs. Would like more timely alerts and error context.
vs Alternatives
Notion and n8n were options, but Trace’s workflow generation and mixed assignment fit our process best. Feels more collaborative out of the box.
The workflow evolves as you go. Trace sees iteration as natural, not an error, which makes it approachable and adaptable for any process.
What needs improvement
Would love to see richer reporting tools and more ways to integrate with data sources.
vs Alternatives
With Notion and Wordware I often felt stuck after setup, and changes felt clumsy. Trace builds on change, making it a better choice for teams who want to grow their processes over time.
Really interesting approach, bridging human and AI agents to streamline workflows is something every growing team struggles with. I’d love to hear how you balances automation with context awareness so AI agents don’t disrupt existing team processes.
@musa_molla Great question — Trace uses the unified company index to give AI full context, so it only automates what makes sense without interrupting existing processes.
Trace looks like a game changer for modern teams! I love how it seamlessly bridges human and AI collaboration while integrating with tools we already rely on like Slack, Jira, and Notion. The ability to break down workflows, identify automation opportunities, and delegate repetitive tasks to AI agents feels like the perfect balance of efficiency and intelligence. Super impressive work
@sanjoy_pator Thanks! That’s exactly what we were aiming for — making AI a seamless teammate rather than a separate tool, while keeping existing workflows intact.
This is quite an interesting hub creator, assigning is one thing but breaking it down is top notch, Whoever came up with that idea needs a 🍺. Definitely gonna use it.

Trace
We try to keep it smooth — AI only steps in where it makes sense, keeping humans in the loop.
We focus on letting AI handle repetitive tasks while keeping humans in control — context stays intact across tools.

Thanks a lot!

@priti_rangnekar Thanks! That’s a big part of Trace — helping teams see where AI can actually make an impact, not just run tasks.
