Hello everyone! We're thrilled to announce the launch of Superthread 0.1 (early alpha). 1. Superthread is a task tracker with integrated roadmaps, issues, and docs. 2. We aim to make it easy for devs & non-devs to work together and eliminate silos inside companies. 3. Whether you’re a founder, a lead, or an individual contributor, you can easily follow your work! 4. Superthread has lightning-fast response times whether you’ve got ten or ten million tasks in your workspace. We understand that achieving our vision will be challenging, but we firmly believe it's a goal worth pursuing. We eagerly await your feedback + we're here to address any questions you may have.
congrats on launch!
Design at Superthread is a bit of a dream: an information-dense interface that people will rely on every day. When you design this type of app you know that it's important to get every detail right, because anything annoying, or broken, or slow, or unclear will be seen and used tens or hundreds of times a day by each person. So I'm glad that we like to focus on the quality of the overall experience. This is also a case where we use our produce to build our product. It's amazing how much you can notice and improve if you use your own product daily.
Anthony, It's amazing working with you!
Design looks brilliant. Exactly how you'd expect in a data intensive application.
Superthread looks great — it seems to have a great balance between what teams might use Linear and Notion for. Excited to see Superthread develop! Long gone are the days of struggling with Jira — it's exciting to see so much innovation in the project management space!
thanks so much for checking us out 🙌 At Superthread we hate context switching, we hate waiting for things to load, and we hate searching across different tools to find stuff. If you've ever used Google Docs with Trello, Jira with Confluence, Asana with Notion, or any other combination – you'll know what we mean. We just want to do the basics, really well, and ensure teams can actually work together.
Thanks, James! We are maniacally focused on making Superthread usable by not only devs but by other functions inside of companies!
It's been an excellent challenge to work through on the design side: how do we balance great tasks with great documents, and make sure the whole app doesn't feel overwhelming?
What I really like about Superthread is that it's fairly process agnostic. Linear is highly opinionated which is really great if you agree with their opinions. Shortcut that we used to use is sort of opinionated but can really decide which opinions it really believes in. Jira is obviously flexible but slow and requires 12 clicks to get anything done. Superthread has let us put the whole company in one place and each team can use it differently and it's flexible enough to work for everyone. Having the whole company in one place makes it easy to manage cross team projects as well.
I share your sentiment that this product seems to be a combination of Notion and Linear: I like the concept of making documents and tasks centralized as well.
> Superthread has lightning-fast response times I love seeing products focus on speed!
Thanks I think we probably learned it from you along the way..... Speed = Great UX. You can't really have one without the other ⚡️
Thank you, Alex, Yes speed is very important to us. it's about 10x faster than notion:
Yeah, it's oddly rare for something that everyone agrees is a good thing.
I'm going to start using something like this, currently looking at linear.app. Why should I consider superthread over linear?
Superthread's key offering is that it has both Tasks and Docs which are tightly integrated. It is also made to be usable by not only developers but by other functions too such as e.g. marketing, sales, HR etc. Our aim is to align the whole company in one place.
We've been in quite a few situations where we've designed and built a feature or screen and had to think about how we should present it so that everyone can use it, no matter their technical background. I'd say that's an important difference, aside from the things that Linear doesn't focus on (e.g. docs).
I agree with that! Clarity is always a winner.
Yepp. the company that bridge docs and task will do well. Good luck today 🚀
Massive thanks Andre, give it a go, we're looking for feedback.
Great work guys, not just a faster Notion but an actual innovation on how tasks and docs can be combined.
Thank you, Neil, We are still early but the mentioning of anything (Tasks/Docs/Boards/Spaces/Members etc.) from anywhere works quite well at this stage.
It's exciting to think about ways we can make task and docs work together. I think a lot of tools either focus on one thing, or everything. But focusing on the relationship between two things opens up some interesting doors.
Thank you for the clear and nice website. I love the idea.
Thank you so much! Give it a go, we would love to hear your feedback 🙏
We redesigned the website not that long ago. We wanted the visual design of the website to match the concept of the app: simple and easy to understand. From your comment it sounds like we might have done that, which makes me happy.
Looks great! Excited to give it a try!
cheers man! Would love to know what you think when you do 🙌
We would love to hear your feedback, happy to jump on a call at any time to show you around.
Super fast speed and great UX! Great product
In the time I've been at the company we've made so many changes that improve how the app feels. Always a good feeling as a designer.
thanks for the kind words
I've been an early tester and it's unbelievable snappy and intuitive
I love that word "snappy" 🐊 that's exactly what we were going for!
Thank you!!! We really appreciate your support.
as one of the Superthread developers, I am very thankful for your feedback from our early days.
