Hey Product hunt community We just launched Snipforge on Product Hunt today and it would mean the world to get your support even just an upvote helps us reach more developers. https://snipforge.video/?ref=pro... But more than the votes, I'd genuinely love to hear from people who've used Snipforge: What's working well for you? What's missing or frustrating? Any features you'd love to see next? Your feedback directly shapes what we build. Drop it here or on the PH listing we read everything.
I've always kept a low profile - never knew how to market myself or anything else for that matter. I just follow my gut and do whatever seems cool and fun for me to do at the time. In the past, that resulted in writing a book in a week. I released it but I've never had success in finding the audience for it. Now - I messed around and created an entire writing app because the current market options don't do what I'd like them to do. So now here I am - my crazy energy resulted in me creating an app.
What are some ways you guys have found your audiences? I think I've made something cool that could help authors, It's the app I wish I had four years ago when I started writing. Any pointers are very appreciated. :)
When we launched, the pitch was simple: one platform, any processor, no lock-in. We had no idea what we'd signed up for.
70+ processors later (Stripe, Adyen, Razorpay, PayPal, Checkout.com, Worldpay, Mollie, plus a long tail across Europe and North America), five lessons:
1. "Declined" means something different to every processor Numeric codes. String codes. Both, contradicting each other. 200 OK with failure buried in the body. Normalising this took us nearly a year. Still the most thankless work we do.
2. Sandboxes lie Test environments accept edge cases production silently rejects: wrong currency combos, certain BIN ranges, specific 3DS flows. We harden every connector against real production traffic before calling it stable.
