Have you ever wondered why we still rely on resumes for hiring, even though research shows they aren't the best predictor of job performance?
I've spent my career in casting and matchmaking, which are all about finding and reading talented people. When I started exploring hiring, I expected a more thorough process. Instead, I noticed the industry mainly depends on keyword matching and job titles, despite decades of proof that behavioral and values-based assessments predict success and retention much better.
I'm really curious to hear your thoughts:
Is it just tradition? Do resumes seem more legally solid than structured interviews? Is it because they re quick to scan at scale, even if they don t say much? Or maybe we just haven t yet developed the tools to do it differently on a large scale?
I've been working on Rh yo, a SaaS platform that scores candidates and roles based on fit and values rather than keywords and titles. I don't think resumes will disappear overnight, but I'd love to know what it would take to change the way we do things.

Five years ago I signed the biggest financial commitment of my life and was too embarrassed to admit I didn't understand it. I nodded along in the meeting. I told people I "knew what I was doing." Really, I just knew the monthly number and I was scared to ask what happened to that number if rates went up, because asking felt like admitting I'd made a mistake I couldn't afford to have made.

Then one night I actually sat down with a notebook and worked through the maths myself. I understood so much more than I expected to and that's when it hit me: if I was struggling with this, there had to be a lot of people going through the exact same thing, quietly, without telling anyone either.

So I built something. At first just for myself, but with the thought that it might help others too something that shows you what's actually principal, what's interest, what an overpayment really does, what a rate rise really costs, without having to say any of that out loud to a bank, a broker, or anyone else.

It's called Mortgage Insights. Everything stays on your phone no account, no one on the other end. The basics are free, permanently, because I don't think understanding your own mortgage should cost anything.

I ve just launched StoryMint on Product Hunt.

The idea came from a problem I experienced while marketing my own product, Roamer.

I wanted to create social carousels that could explain the whole product through a connected visual story. But I found myself switching between writing tools, image generators, and design tools - and the final slides often felt disconnected.

So I started building StoryMint.

I ve been building something around a question that kept bothering me:

What happens to all the context inside our old conversations?

Years of WhatsApp and Telegram chats contain memories, inside jokes, relationships, important moments, and thousands of little details.

But once the conversation ends, it basically becomes an archive.
