Every store asks the same thing: "Got our rewards card?" Say yes, and I'm digging for an app or handing over my phone number. Say no, and I'm being pitched to download yet another one.

End result: I forget I joined, points expire, and my phone's full of apps I never open. Can't imagine the brands are happy with that either. Half the point of a loyalty program is getting people to actually use it.
