We’re building MemShift because bookmarks aren't enough

by

We've been building something around a problem that kept happening to us:

“I know I saw this somewhere.”

You remember the useful information.

You just don't remember where you found it.

So we built MemShift, a Chrome extension designed to help you rediscover the things you encounter online.

We're early, and we're trying to answer a bigger question:

Can the internet have a memory?

We're looking for people who have this problem to try the early version and tell us where the idea works — and where it doesn't.

If you've tried it, we'd especially love to hear:

What would make you trust a tool enough to let it become your personal memory layer?

And what would you absolutely NOT want it to remember?
