I am a doctor and use remnote daily! Its amazing! thank you Guys for creating this awesome app. Do you think we will be able to get some cool CSS like Roam in near future? I am eagerly awaiting to get it

@pediatric_doctor I would check out https://hannesfrank.github.io/re..., a community built custom-CSS portal! You can build your onw custom CSS as well.

A co-worker of mine suggested this app to me to help me remember my talking points when practicing my lectures for large audiences. When giving presentations to over 3000 people, its easy to get nervous and forget little things! I can already tell Remnote will be an essential tool of mine while I practice and study my lectures. I have tried other similar products, but I have always felt the other apps required more work on my end for them to work, versus them working for me!! That is not the case with Remnote - Its quick, easy, and super effective. Thank you for making this wonderful product!!!!!!

Hi @martin_schneider1 ! First of all, thank you for bringing such a good product! Actually I had no plans for writing any feedbacks as was still staying excited defining and linking `Rems` from my previous documenting system. However, during my regularly scheduled system provisioning I found this information might be useful / interesting to you and your team: http://bit.ly/remnote

@kostyantyn_didenko Thanks, we'll take a look.

I need to make a decision by January 24th as Roam Research will charge me yearly subscription and your opinions would be appreciated Can you guys share your experiences or comparison between the following Second brian tools: 1. Roam Research 2. Obsidian 3. RemNote The most used features that matters to me (I am 1 month newbie to this second brian concept and are learning): 1. Backlink 2. Tag 3. Image uploading 4. Graph

@eric_kim3 Features 1, 2, 3, are basically similar in all those tools. It's really up to the individual to structure their workflow around whatever they use and stick with it. For graph, I would say Remnote's newly released feature is the most powerful in terms of flexibility right now. That said, I did switch from the others to Remnote and their progress has since been unbelievably fast given their limited resources, compared to other more well-known tools.

I am to start working with Remnote, it seems to me to be one of the best applications for note taking and intelligence development, congratulations for that, but I am worried that in the future the application will stop receiving updates or something similar (hopefully not). What will happen to our information? Can we download it in some kind of folders? Or will portability be possible? I would not like to have such a large information network and for it to be lost, I believe that obsidian is ahead in this regard, I hope they promote a solution. Thank you
Marcus
@luis_mau You can scroll all the way down and check out their stance on this here: https://www.remnote.io/pricing/f... Essentially they state: Our Three-Part Commitment TL;DR: RemNote is here to stay. You can count on that - and us - to be your note-taking tool for life. Data Ownership: You own your data - always. You'll be able to export all data in its raw state and import it to another tool. Free Access Guarantee: We'll always provide a feature-rich, free-for-life version of RemNote. Current users will never be asked to pay for any feature they're already using, in the feature's current state. Guaranteed Access Clause: In the extremely unlikely event that RemNote ever winds down (don’t worry - we are 100% committed and will be here for the long-haul), we will release all code into an open source project. You could run the RemNote desktop app and/or the open source community could host RemNote independently. We are 100% committed to you and development of this tool. Period.

Senior year university student here, can't be grateful enough to have found this app. I wish RemNote exists when I was a freshman. It would have saved me so much time. I am glad that I'm here today to see and support RemNote grows. I first found RemNote in 2019 summer, that's when I started trying it out, testing, and play around with it. Took me sometime to get used to most of the functions, but like others have mentioned, starts with the basic. The fact that I can do notetaking while making flashcards simultaneously has already smoothen my workflow by a lot. I used to organize my notes in OneNote and then transfer them to Anki for long-term retainment. But, guess what?! Remnote has became my primarily tool since last semester (2019 fall). It's effective, it saves time, it makes studying a much more joyful experience. Try it out yourself, gives yourself sometime to interact with the functions in Remnote, I am sure you won't regret it. Sure there are glitches and bugs here and there, but it is still a truly powerful application, and it's only going to get better. The RemNote team has been very responsive and timely in fixing them, and there's a great RemNote community (i.e. the RemNote forum and Discord) to help each other out.

I have been using it for a long time, developed rapidly over time. It gave me many benefits since I use it first.

Am very passionate about learning..everything! I find myself in good company with the founder (of Remnote), when he expresses his dismay at forgetting what you learn! Thus, the very reason I went out hunting for a tool that'd teach me not to forget. On a you-tube video about zettelkasten,Matty and Mike, mentioned Remnote , in passing. I followed the link and the rest is history! Am in love with how well it is designed to achieve maximum learning and maximum retention of what you learn! No equal to it, to date! By the look of things,Remnote is staying ahead of the pack for a long time ! All the updates are efficient,functional and effective for the purposes of learning. Thank you, Remnote team! Thank you and keep it up!

Been using this since June 2020--GAME CHANGER (even though it was still in beta)! What sold me was the one-on-one meeting with Martin that he offered to new users--a testament to his value for user feedback and interaction. What really topped this app off was the PDF annotation feature released recently, allowing you to link highlights you make in the pdf to the notes you write. This feature allowed me to insert useful diagrams from my textbook, which I then use image occlusion on. As a consequence, I can engage with the visual aids of my textbook, having bits of it appear in the review flashcard queue to trigger active learning. The main value of this tool is that you don't fall in the trap of passively re-writing lecture notes or creating study guides. More often then not, traditional note taking prevents from actually studying as they take so much time to create that eventually you barely have any time left to actual review them for the test. Even if you do manage to have spare time before the test date to study from your notes, it defiantly still an opportunity cost time-wise. Thanks to RemNote, I rarely go down this path, instead the unique way RemNote foster's it's users to interact with it, promoting us to break concepts into manageable chunks we can actively learn. THANK YOU MARTIN AND HIS TEAM!!
