@rrhoover I would like to see a category for courses. There are so many education platforms/bootcamps out there and it is very hard to filter. This would make sense to me specially after seeing that you guys created a category for podcasts

@rrhoover You said crazy suggestions- I would really like an "On the Hunt For..." I would love to put a request for a product, then someone who is already working on one or a user of a current existing product could point it out. An example for me would be anything that can take my contacts data and auto tag them so creating segmented list would be that much faster. I also want something that can auto create lists in Twitter to help manage the feed. So if those things are out there, let me know and it will be most appreciated. Recap- a type of want ads, screened through a group of moderators maybe to cut down on junk. 🐿

@vbarnett323 that's a fun idea. It might surface existing products or things that should be made. :)

More contextual information of makers who are listed on Product Hunt (if they opt to share) such as links to their Podcasts, Books, or at least their PH-related posts if they have written on Medium or elsewhere. A 'Product Hunt Profile' badge of my PH profile so that I can embed the 'profile code' at my website. The new submission process can be bit more participative, particularly when a maker is submitting. For instance, if a maker submits 3 products and none are listed, a 'best practices' email to help the maker.

@rrhoover - A Newly designed PH iOS app including sections of Games, Books and Podcasts. Many people in Asia are still waiting for the Android App. It would be great if the makers or the teams could attach a short info/article about their journey building the product. It would be easy for the viewers to see what challenges they faced building it. A section where the people can see any offers given by the products (eg. $10 Off on using code PH) all at one place! Totally excited for the new PH 😊

@rrhoover One of the things that bother me is the header images. When a book or a mobile app is submitted the header and regular images are already populated. When I find a site or web app they I normally have to take screenshots to post them in the header. 1. If there was a way to do the same with a website or web app that would be great. 2. If I submit a product that has already been hunted. I still would like to contribute to that hunted product by adding an image if the ones that are already there suck really bad. 3. I was wondering since you are opening the podcast area will you have a music area as well. It is not a suggestion just curious;-) 4. I've realized that submitting a book from amazon needs tweaking. There are so many ways to alter the URL from a submitting a book from Amazon. That someone can submit the same book at least 10 different ways and it will still be submitted as a new book discovery.

@dredurr all great ideas! We could do a better job of curating images and enabling people to make each product page look awesome. P.S. I've enjoyed your hunts, Deandre. Keep it up. 🙌

@rrhoover repeat on the search improvements. I was trying to search a collection and ultimately had to go out to google it so def needs assistance. As for major features that fit within your mission I feel there is a lot more you could do for pre launch. Maybe closed private groups that offer feedback pre launch enabling product hunt to be part of more of the product life cycle than just the launch. What's really great about ph is the community and smart feedback. Why not have that pre and launch ?

Not really an idea for a new feature, but I've noticed that some posts are "scheduled" to be featured at a certain time in the future (mainly just from OCD inspection of changes in the source code). Maybe a bit more transparency around that for the poster so there's no confusion about what happened to the post, as it seems to vanish from the upcoming queue when this happens, sort of like a PH limbo.
