How did you contract partners? :) Are you not worried about capacity utilization? (e.g. when there will be more inquiries than mentors can handle)
Michael Green
@busmark_w_nika In our opinion, it is never a bad thing to have "too many users". :) We started by utilizing our own networks to onboard professionals. Since launch, we have had a groundswell of new professionals apply to join the platform! We manually review and reach out to everyone that applies.
Nika
@michael_green15 Of course, the more users you have, the better. The question was more related to the capacity of the mentors who need to split time among more users. (But I reckon that in the future it will be reduced by pricing – I suppose) :)
Dean Kroker
@michael_green15 @busmark_w_nika we stop suggesting professionals when they reach capacity, so you always get a guaranteed response and someone’s full attention :) thank you for your support!!

@michael_green15 @deank That is reasonable at those conditions :) Let's crush it today :)

Very nice idea @deank. I gave it a try to find an expert on product positioning. First feedback: On the app, I started with the first message prompt. After entering the prompt, I needed to sign up. But after signining up, the first prompt was gone (so I had to rewrite it, which was kinda annoying). In the AI chat, it wasn't clear that my input text is capped, so I was a bit surprised that I wasn't able to enter more text after x characters. For my specific case, the experts weren't ideal (I guess because you're super early and the network isn't that big), that's why I didn't pay for consulting (and I already have some good experts on those topics in my network where I don't have to pay, so I'm a bad early adopter, lol). Still, I like the product and see the potential, congrats on the launch and keep building!

@deank @juliangoetze Great feedback! We too want a more streamlined first experience with the platform. Cooking it up now for the next update. You would be a great user as a fellow founder. Would love to talk more about your use case in mind and get your take.

@deank @michael_green15, congrats on the launch. Guaranteed Expert Advice - how is this different from similar products like ADPList, Clarity, etc? Also, why limit professionals to big tech companies only? Just curious. Startup folks tackle more diverse challenges and bring more unique perspectives. No?
Dean Kroker
Thanks for the questions and feedback @ashitvora -- ADPList / Clarity / others are call-oriented, not message-based. The experts we've onboarded don't want more meetings on their books, and are used to helping people through quick videos and async messaging. So this gives them an easy way to keep doing so. Would you be willing to get advice this way? And we want to onboard people who we can validate are actually good at their craft, and considering a Meta interview loop for a product manager is 10+ interviews, we thought it was a good initial way to validate skillset. But totally agree with you that startup founders face challenges that someone who's been at big tech since college couldn't fathom ;)

@deank this sounds more like a professional Cameo?
Dean Kroker
@chrismessina hehe that is a fun comparison, taking it as a big complement is a great product :-)

💡 Bright idea
I signed up and tried it. I like the idea. but when I was given the professionals who would be well-suited to provide feedback I was not sure which professional to pick. The information provided to me was not useful in narrowing down which professional to pick. I know it is early on for the product but I would like to have either reviews or rating from other users on the professional. Not sure how this would affect the product or if it is something the team wants to adopt.

@a4ibrahi this is super helpful feedback, definitely relevant and heard -- thank you!

💎 Pixel perfection
I really like the idea—it seems fresh and your product definitely has an audience. I have one suggestion regarding the user flow: I recommend moving the registration stage further down the process. For instance, after a new user has selected an expert and written a message. This approach would allow the new user to experience the product's value earlier, showcasing the opportunity to discuss a topic of interest with an expert, while also addressing any concerns about pricing.
Michael Green
@michael_vavilov 100% agree, we've also seen this among our user behavior studies. We are cooking up a great experience for the next update!

Interesting, A few questions: 1. Do you position yourself like a high-end Fiverr? 2. How do you create the Networking effect, and get in contact with the individuals? Do you take a cut on the deal. 3. Also often these people, who are your experts already have a very high salary, why did they decide to do a side hustle? And when do they take the time?
Michael Green
@jan_heimes Pros on the platform overwhelmingly do this because they love giving back to their communities and fields. Many of us were once starting out in our careers craving more guidance and feedback. They remember this period of their career and have jumped at the opportunity to provide that guidance where they can.

This sounds like such a brilliant way to bridge the gap between professionals and those seeking real-world insights. Having the ability to get direct, actionable advice from someone in a top-tier company in hours feels like a game-changer for career growth and product feedback.
Michael Green
@williamrobertscott We think so too! Thank you for the support!
