Notion API beta - Connect Notion to the tools you use every day

by
Everyone should be able to tailor software to their own needs. This public beta is the first step towards a whole new set of building blocks to make that vision a reality. And this is just the beginning — we'll continue making changes based on your feedback.

Hello Product Hunt! It's fitting that Notion's API beta is launching here today. We talk a lot about how our users are makers and we're excited to release our API to an entirely new community of makers today! We know all too well that information often lives in silos within organizations. With the API, our users can connect Notion to any external third-party service (e.g. Google Calendar, Github, Salesforce, etc.) or any custom internal service. When our users are able to connect to third-party services, they can build the kinds of automations, integrations and enhancements they want to see in the world. We hope the API gives our makers entirely new functionality that connects Notion to all the other tools they use to run their lives and businesses. In addition to the API, we launched with support for OAuth so that any developer can securely receive access to parts of a given user's Notion workspace. We're also launching with some partners today, including Zapier, Typeform and Automate.io which our users can take advantage of without writing any code at all. We’re so excited to see what you build and would love your feedback along the way! We’re also hosting a workshop on May 26th. Join us () if you want to build an integration on the Notion API together!
Congrats for the launch 🙌 Really looking forward to build great integrations with this!
Fantastic Christina, congrats to the entire Notion team for this accomplishment!
Awesome :) Looking forward to building some cool integrations!
Waiting for your life altering videos on this, August.
He's already got one up! ;)
Anddd... our Notion integration is now live for - create beautiful forms that on the fly: 1. Add pages to your notion databases 2. Add rich content to existing pages 3. Create new pages embedded in pages 4. Embed into notion 🤯🙀 Demo vid:
How to: A huge congratulations and thank you to and the whole Notion crew for all the amazing work they've put into making the Notion API 👏
I don't think I have ever seen that much expectation for an API before. For the last years, every single time Notion was announcing any new feature people were screaming "what about the AAAAAPI?!" Just imagine the pressure this team had to ship this 😉 I got lucky enough to have access to the beta, and I have to say the API is quite complete. It covers most of the use cases you have in mind like creating pages, querying a database... So glad to see it's finally available to all hackers 🤩 Btw, if you want to test out our Typeform integration with Notion check it out here 👇
Great to see Notion API Out. Congratulations and the Notion team. A lot of users waiting on this. Automate.io is excited to be a launch partner on this. We have our integration already up. Here's what you can do: Sync Google Calendar : Sync with Microsoft Outlook : Github issue sync : Jira issue sync : Trello card sync: Connect Notion with 200+ apps here - Lets us know the apps you want to connect Notion with!
Notion & Microsoft to-do would be such a dream
Congratulations on the API launch, Notion team! Excited to see more people use 's Notion integration to sync form responses to their Notion databases. 🚀
Congrats on the launch! 🚀 I'm sure there are going to be some amazing products built using the API, keen to try it out myself. It would be cool if Notion had a marketplace to find integrations that have already been built.
I reckon there could be scope for us to integrate in the future :)
I agree :)
We'll definitely be building one! We're just giving folks some time to build integrations first.
this is very cool! Exciting step!
