Creator here. I built mcp-huggingfetch out of frustration with slow model downloads that kept failing halfway through.
The tool uses concurrent HTTP streaming and smart chunking to achieve 3-5x faster downloads. It also auto-resumes if your connection drops!
Real numbers: ChatTTS (~2GB) now downloads in 6 minutes instead of 20 minutes. Works seamlessly with Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code through the MCP protocol.
