Hi Product Hunt and thanks to @katmanalac for helping us out! We started Massdriver with the mission to make DevOps effortless. We’ve seen companies struggle to adopt DevOps as a practice and a culture for years. It's a burden on engineers that are trying to ship products on a deadline. More often than not, when it comes to writing Terraform, engineers copy/paste it, LGTM it through the PR process just to see it fail in staging (or worse, prod). The collaboration model in that process is poor, it's hard to collaborate on infrastructure-as-code in a PR. You can lint it, but testing is expensive and tedious and requires real infrastructure. Even when terraform applies cleanly, it doesn't mean it actually works. This is why we built Massdriver. We wanted to build a tool that could aid in that shift back to DevOps as a culture. Let developers focus on their intentions and not the implementation details of cloud infrastructure. Massdriver allows SREs and Cloud Operation teams to contribute above the value line instead of configuring HCL and YAML plumbing all day. And we do this where these teams collaborate today, at the drawing board. Here are some of our best features so far: - Visually design cloud infrastructure - Enforce cloud resource parity across environments with variable scale per environment - Automated IAM policies and roles - Automated firewall and security groups based on connected resources in your diagram - Automated monitoring and alerting - Visualize CloudWatch and StackDriver alarms right on your infrastructure diagram - Naming and tagging conventions configured by default - Visual diffing of environment configurations

looks awesome - on my list of things to try! does it cover different cloud providers?

@chriscarex AWS and GCP are supported today. Azure is behind a feature flag and should be public soon.

I have no idea what DevOps are or what this product does. What are they?

I think this could be revolutionary ! It make a complex task easy .... however, I don't see pricing anywhere @cory_odaniel . It would also be interesting to see how the tool helps in managing the setup since the time spent managing the infra >>>> time spent setting it up

@cory_odaniel @terodactyl That is a great observation! I think the even bigger consumer of time, and what makes the ongoing management of infrastructure difficult is understanding the current state of your system. IaC solutions don't provide enough context to get that data at a glance. The nature of Massdriver makes it self documenting and by definition, and always up to date. We are hoping that Massdriver helps organizations onboard quickly and resolve problems faster with that additional context.
