One thing students rarely talk about after interviews: the interviewer experience itself. Being a strong developer doesn’t automatically make someone a good interviewer. Interviewing is a separate skill — it requires structure, patience, listening, and the ability to evaluate thinking instead of just outcomes. But in reality, many interviews depend entirely on whoever happens to be assigned that day. Some interviewers guide the discussion and help you clarify your thoughts. Others stay silent and expect perfect answers without context. The same candidate can perform completely differently depending on the interaction, not their actual ability. For students, this creates confusion. You walk out unsure whether you lacked knowledge or simply faced an interview style you were never exposed to before. Interview preparation often focuses on solving problems, but very little prepares you for navigating different interviewing styles — which ends up being a major part of the real experience. It’s an aspect of interviews we don’t discuss enough, yet almost everyone who has gone through placements has felt it. This exact problem is one of the reasons we started building Interbrew. It wasn’t something created overnight. A lot of time went into understanding what actually makes an interview feel fair, structured, and realistic — through continuous discussions, iterations, and feedback from developers and hiring managers. The idea is simple: make interview practice consistent, so improvement depends on learning and reflection rather than randomness in interviewer experience. We’re still building, still improving, and there are more features already lined up based on what students and developers keep asking for. If you’re curious to try it, you’re always free to explore — every user gets 2 free interview credits to experience it firsthand.
