Rockets, self driving cars, gigafactories and a new power grid. How could I say no?

Great idea, Jason. I'm not a Tesla owner, but love what they do. Here in SLC, I have been watching the state of Utah fight Tesla on allowing them to have a dealership here. There are two locations downtown, with one location allowed to sell used cars and providing owners a place to charge their car.

Curious, does the road-map for this product (topical/product specific newsletters) possibly include direct vendor sponsorship/participation? Aside from obvious sponsorship opportunities, I'm fairly certain Tesla in this case would find value in analytics/insights on your readership, their engagement with certain stories, and incremental content consumption behavior generated via the Launch Ticker and other TBD newsletters.
@david__fortino This is going to be the easiest business model in the world.... If you want to support the newsletter we will have two or three options: 1. Pay $10 a month (think Patreon), 2. Buy the third news story slot and put in a clearly labeled ad and 3. REDACTED-SINCE-ITS-A-KILLER-IDEA-WE-HAVENT-SHARED-YET!

@jason Hmmm. #1 &2 are no-brainers. Could #3, or potentially #4, be a subscriber analytics model whereby the sponsor would receive a fire-hose of all content consumption behavior generated via your subscribers?

@Jason given the popularity of smaller crossover SUVs, i.e. Ford Escape, Rav-4, Mazda CX-5, how long do you think it will be before Tesla shifts that type of body vehicle model 3?
Really interesting, especially starting w/ Tesla. Reminds me of how there's this fervent circle of diehard Apple fans that read MacRumors and 9to5Mac all day. A vertical newsletter for this kind of thing is really interesting.
Very cool! Why choose Tesla though, Inside Apple for example would have a much larger potential audience I'd think. It would also have much more content. @jason@awwstn
