How do you validate an AI-integrated SaaS idea before building too much?

I recently started working on an AI-SaaS product, and like many of us here, I wanted to avoid building something no one really wants.

So here s the process I followed (and still refining) curious how you do it too:

1. Start with a painful workflow

Best business & startup podcasts you're listening to right now?

Podcasts have become my go-to for staying sharp whether it's catching emerging trends, learning from founders, or picking up tactics I'd never find in a blog post.

My current rotation includes Lenny's Podcast for deep dives into product and growth strategy, and Greg Isenberg's show for his take on trends and building in public. Both feel genuinely useful, not just entertaining.

But I know I'm missing great ones, so I want to hear from this community:

  • What business or startup podcasts are you actually listening to these days?

  • Any underrated shows that deserve more listeners?

  • Has a specific episode ever shifted how you approach your work?

Self‑hosting Open-Source AI agents, what's your biggest blocker?

I've been self hosting automation tools for years. But I see many developers and non technical users struggling to get started with open source AI agents (n8n, OpenClaw, etc.).

You want the control and privacy of self hosting, but the reality is:

  • You need a server, Docker, SSL, backups, and monitoring.

  • Updates break things.

  • Security is on you.

So I'm curious for those of you who have tried (or wanted to try) self hosting an AI agent:

What’s one fitness feature that would genuinely improve consistency but doesn’t exist yet?

I ve been exploring ideas around building smarter add-ons for Strava and smartwatch apps, especially features that go beyond tracking and actually help people stay consistent.

Most fitness apps are great at collecting data such as pace, heart rate, distance but they don t always help on low-motivation days or prevent burnout.

From a product perspective, I m curious:

  • What s a feature you wish existed that would actually change your behaviour?

  • What would make you open the app daily?

  • What insight or nudge would feel valuable enough to pay for?

How to create a business model in an age of AI Agents?

We're living through a strange and exciting moment in business history.

For decades, building a company meant figuring out your product, your customers, your revenue streams the classic building blocks. But now there's something new in the room: AI agents that can think, decide, and act on their own.

Chrome extension that lets you edit text and elements then export DOM changes for devs?

@mikekerzhner just told me about the trick where you put Document.designMode = 'on' in console, then you can edit text on a page like a doc. It would be cool to do more types of edits for design feedback, like actually moving elements around. Does anyone know of a Chrome extension that lets you do this with websites?

AI and "Human in the loop" - what does that actually mean in practice?

Every AI agent pitch I see includes this phrase somewhere. Human in the loop. Human oversight. Human supervision.

But when I look at how it actually works inside most companies, it breaks down into one of three things:

A person reviews the output after the action already happened. A person could intervene but the system makes it slow and inconvenient. One person monitors a dashboard tracking 40 agents running tasks they do not fully understand.

How Far Can AI Go in Weather Apps? Beyond Voice Forecasts

We're working on a weather app that uses AI for voice-powered updates (like read out the weather forecast and wake you up: 'Rain in 30 mins grab your umbrella!').

But it got me thinking: what other cool stuff could AI do?

  • Ultra-local predictions? ("Your backyard BBQ at 3PM will be sunny, but your neighbor s patio will be windy")

  • Eco-friendly tips? ("Water plants today drought risk increases tomorrow")

  • Personalized alerts based on routines? ("Heads-up, temps will drop during your usual jog time!")

Why does SEO get all the attention, while paid ad intelligence gets overlooked?

I ve noticed that in most growth discussions, people tend to focus heavily on SEO optimizing blogs, backlinks, keywords, etc.

But very few talk about paid traffic strategies, especially analyzing competitors ad placements, creatives, and media buying patterns.

Is marketing becoming too mechanical in the age of AI?

Lately, I ve been thinking about how much of today s marketing is shaped by algorithms, automation, and machine-generated insights and whether something essential is getting lost in the process.

It s hard not to notice:

AI can generate full campaigns before a human finishes the brief,

Strategy often starts with data models, not human moments,
