How do you charge customers?

by•
Hey everyone đź‘‹ I wonder what is the best solution for creators on PH to charge their customers, especially I'd love to know your thoughts on: â—¦ using merchant of record (MoR) vs. handling taxes on your own â—¦ your fulfilment process - do you use accountant or a service â—¦ biggest challenges you faced when planning monetisation And finally, what tool you're using?

Strip is the king! But I wish they charge us less :D
There are many people using checkout.com. No idea about them. Would love if somebody could share their experience.

For creators and small product businesses, I think the real problem usually isn’t just payments. It’s what sits around payments.

Checkout might happen in one tool, subscriptions in another, taxes somewhere else, delivery in another place, and then support and customer history are split again. That setup works for a while, but it gets annoying fast once volume grows or people start asking for refunds, upgrades, bundle access, or membership changes.

That’s why I usually care less about “which processor” in isolation and more about how much operational mess the stack creates around it.

I work on DukieX, so I spend a lot of time thinking about this from the creator side. The more pieces someone has to glue together just to get paid and support a customer properly, the more brittle the business starts to feel.
