Why is it important to stay active on Product Hunt even during the weekend?
A lot of people try to avoid launching their product on weekends because the traffic isn’t as high as it is on weekdays. (And yes, that’s true. But I still believe that launching on weekends comes with a lot of advantages.)
For example, the benefits are:
Since there’s less launch saturation and lower competition, with the right strategy, you have a better chance of ranking in top positions.
You can discover a lot of great lifestyle products and products in the fun category.
There’s also a higher chance of getting more personal interactions and catching up on “old notifications” – during the week, things move fast, and I often use weekends to catch up on conversations I didn’t have time for.
One minor thing: You will not lose your PH streak.
And don’t forget, the tech world doesn’t sleep, even on weekends.
What benefits have you personally experienced on Product Hunt during the weekend?
Have you ever managed to rank during a weekend launch?

@blakeatvassant @daniel_nwankwo Now following you! 🙌 I hope the launch goes well for you.
@blakeatvassant @daniel_nwankwo kinda same. Launching (citehq.ai) soon. Very new to PH, signed up to PH with the intention to launch product, but delayed the launch cause of the age of my account. Now im sooooo invested in PH overall. Very interesting platform.

@daniel_nwankwo Did you see any very interesting product launched on the weekend? What was it?

@daniel_nwankwo I didn't catch that. Wanna check it out :)
Maybe fits for you to launch on weekend you will have less competition and if you are solo founder without no audience that might be benefial since your product can be buried by the competition during week days.

@martin_cervantes Yes, I have heard that weekends are more for indie hunters :)
Weekends are so quiet and calm here. Feels almost like being out in nature. Makes it easier to spend a couple of hours fighting for a place under the sun)

@julia_zakharova2 That's kind of a strong declaration but true :D it is like nature (almost) :D
@julia_zakharova2 In this utterly chaotic world, that is a the only sanctuary for me. Mountains. Lucky I grew up in the mountains but now in a concrete paradise.
@busmark_w_nika Honestly, the lower competition angle is so real. Launched on a Saturday once and got top 5 simply because fewer products were fighting for attention that day.
Weekends are also when people actually read and reply instead of just scrolling past. Better conversations happen here than on any busy Tuesday.

@vishal7017 Which product do you refer to?
Staying online during the weekends is not something I'm happy about - I just really get tired of my devices during the weekdays :)

@sk_uxpin It is overwhelming, indeed :) To be online all the time :)
@busmark_w_nika Yes, I agree with this. For me, weekends on Product Hunt feel less noisy and more personal. There may be less traffic, but the conversations are often better because people have more time to actually read, reply, and discover smaller products.
I also think weekend launches can work really well for niche or lifestyle products because the competition is lower and the audience is in a different mindset. Ranking is not only about volume, sometimes timing and real engagement matter more. 👏
