If you lost access to social media, what would you do? (in personal life + business)
I refer to how the UK banned social media for teenagers under 16.
The funny moment was when the BBC News moderator asked the student: How much screen time does she have on the weekend (9 hours) and What will she do with her free time now? (Staring at the wall.)
How would you use your time?
And not only in your personal life, but especially in your professional life, which is often connected to business management. How would you promote? :D

Last year, we experienced a power outage here in Spain and across other parts of Southern Europe. It lasted the entire day and brought the world to a standstill for a moment. There was no cellular connection, no internet – nothing. People started going for walks, and you could see them sitting on benches reading books. It was beautiful to see and felt unreal at the same time.
@chris_fluentime I experienced the same outage and the first thing I did was buy a battery powered radio. It became the centerpiece of the building as neighbors gathered to listen.
@yumi_joh That's what we bought right after that event! :)
@chris_fluentime el apagon famoso! I remember! I went to lie in the park. I read my book and ate ice cream:-) It was glorious!

@chris_fluentime Remember how a colleague from Spain mentioned that. It sounds idyllic to me. But when I was there a few years back, I remember how blankets were in the park, and people could have a picnic there. Really enjoyed the vibe.
Without social media, I think I would participate more in offline socializing, which is not a bad thing—it can make the connections between people more genuine.

@sleekzheng I would do the same (only with one condition) – it had to be conferences abroad.

@pranay19 Let's say it is not :D Because I do not think the UK banned this category of product directory :D

@pranay19 Maybe the same perspective would have other people –> huge competition.
Write and read more:-)

@lisa_steingold2 but on paper with pen, right? :)
In personal life i would spend more time being in the present for myself. For example- Like less of pics and videos and more of me experiencing them than stressing onto capturing them for social media shares.
Business - More of offline networking which actually feels more human with real words and expressions

@meenakshi_sivi I will be honest, I would take those photos anyway, because I have a tendency to forget beautiful moments and remember only the worst :D
Personally, I’d probably get bored for a few days, then read more and be more present.
For business, I’d treat it as a reminder that social media is distribution, not the whole strategy. Email, search, partnerships, and real communities would matter a lot more.

@farrukh_butt1 I am happy that your perception can see moer tools for promotion :)
Honestly, I think it would push more people to build assets they truly own instead of relying entirely on social media.
Personally, I'd spend more time learning, networking, and creating useful tools and resources.
From a business perspective, I'd focus on email lists, SEO, websites, communities, referrals, and AI automation to improve customer communication and retention. Social media is powerful, but it shouldn't be the only growth channel.
The strongest businesses are the ones that can still thrive even if a platform disappears tomorrow.

@morgandigital Ideally direct contact :) Era of SMS, MMS, Email

@amm8 True, I need to go outside more too :)
@busmark_w_nika Perdre les réseaux ? Panique 2 jours, puis soulagement.
Perso : Je retrouverais mes yeux.

I think if social media is banned, I need to find another way to promote.
It would be IRL content, recording and editting it would take plenty of time

@gapostolov But where would you publish it if you didn't have any access to socials?
