Welcome to PH, gents. Great to see Welsh startups on here. I have two questions: 1 How does Doopoll differ from Typeform, Survey Monkey etc? 2 How did you celebrate Wales' magnificence in the recent European Championships (soccer, for our transatlantic chums!)
@neilcocker Diolch (thanks in Welsh for anyone who's uninitiated 😅). So thanks for the questions.
1) How do we differ from SurveyMonkey and Typeform etc? Actually we get asked this a lot. So one of the main points that we differentiate on is the anonymity of a poll. We never ask anyone for a login or a name. We believe that if you take the person's name and ID away from their response, they'll give a more honest response. That leads to better feedback. Also, we don't allow text entry. Research shows that when you ask someone to articulate their thoughts, they can actually find it quite difficult. The brain has separate parts that process language and decision making.
2) Celebrating Welsh football – We're always celebrating something about Wales. There's certainly been an increased use of the Welsh language here recently. Also our office looks right out over the route that the parade bus came on the other day. We were all dangling out of fourth storey windows cheering 🎉
@nickclement Whilst as a proud Welshman, I'd love for us to take all the credit, truth is we're 33% Welsh, 33% Americans, 17% Spanish and 17% English... 100% Global.
The platform's currently available in French, Welsh and English (more languages coming soon!).
Lot's of Welsh love going on here today - great to see. Have you got any examples of how this could be used in a training environment to gather feedback from delegates?
@amienlockwood Hey Amie, for sure! So a couple of things here:
1) A poll template that you can use for 'Did you understand today's lecture' but obvs that can be applied to training contexts too: https://app.doopoll.co/poll/CWTL...
2) A lot of our users use doopoll for live events. There's some info here: http://doopoll.co/sector/event/
Happy to send you some other examples if you'd like?
@iammarcthomas Ooh that's great! Will definitely give this a go for my next session. Thanks :)

@thedimmick@markthomas@sgoudie really cool product! Any plans to make it possible to embed a poll in another website? Would be great for quick in-app feedback.
@mjmasn Hi Michael, thanks for the kind words! Embeddable polls are something we're currently working on. Let me know if you have any opinions on how you would like to use this feature.
We're also working on our public API at present which will allow you to build your own integration for in app feedback.

Hey guys, can I get clarity on the Powerups please?
I get the Theme and Pro Pack, but when would the Team Pack be needed?
@leedriscoll Hey Lee, Good to hear from you. Nice to see you found the powerups page (for anyone else http://doopoll.co/powerups/).
So, some of the main use cases for the team pack at the moment are collaborating to create polls in multiple languages. For example, during the Euros one of our team could write a poll in English about the quarter finalists. They could then add another team member as a collaborator and that team member could create a duplicate poll in Welsh and simply translate the questions right away, safe in the knowledge that the poll structure and layout would be the same for everyone. They could then add another collaborator who could duplicate again and translate the poll to French. And so on...
Another use case is when you have multiple topics to cover in a single poll. For instance if we were to send a poll to all our users I could create the poll and pop in some questions about Enterprise usage. I then add Marc and Sam as collaborators and they can add questions on Consumer usage and the Product sides of things accordingly. Hope that helps!

@thedimmick Thanks Steve, that's cleared up everything.

Hi doopoll. Amazing product. Really excited to see what's next for doopoll. Would you be able to give us an insight into what's coming in the next few months (as long as it's not too top secret)?
@tomgallard Thanks Tom, and of course! We have a pretty big overhaul of our editor coming in the next few weeks which will make it even easier to create polls quickly and react to data. We're also going to be releasing our API into a public beta. We're really excited to see what people make with that!
What would you like to see from doopoll in the next few months?

Hey doopoll, great to see a Welsh start-up on here!
I’ve been wondering how you feel about Twitter Polls? How would I convince someone to use doopoll instead of something native to Twitter?
@benjystanton Nice question Benjy. Twitter polls are great for single questions when you're already a Twitter user. But still, a lot of people don't fit that profile. One of the things about doopoll is that you can add more questions to the same poll in real time – that's cool because it means you don't have to try to get a user to continually interact with your timeline. They just load a link and new questions appear as soon as they're added. Imagine being sat in front of your TV/Computer interacting with a live stream in real time. We're already working with television production companies to make this a reality.
@benjystanton Just to add, what @tdd and the team at twitter have done with twitter polls is great: it's not always an either or scenario :)
We're working really hard to ensure doopoll plays real nice with twitter and other social channels.

Hey Doopoll team - I love the interface, will this ever become a native mobile app?
@craiginwales This is an interesting question! We'll won't ever require users to download a native app to answer a poll, but we have looked at some use cases for poll creators, such us a remote for controlling live results, or reporting on polls. Is there a specific use case that you would require a native version of doopoll for?
Glad you like the interface! The next iteration is going to be even better!
@thedimmick nice one fella! something very close to my heart at the moment, building survey tools :) we should chat about integrating doopoll with @dartemail too
@aexmo@thedimmick@dartemail Sounds great! The public beta for our API launches in the next few months. Let's chat! DM me with your contact details and we'll find a time.
