Hey everyone 👋 I’m Shajin, founder of DesignLumo, and today marks my first ever Product Hunt launch.
I built DesignLumo after running into the same problems again and again:
1. AI models generate good-looking images, but they’re locked.
2. Template tools feel slow when you want something unique and fast.
DesignLumo lets you type a prompt like “Instagram ad for a coffee shop, minimalist, bold headline”
and get a fully editable design with real layers. Change text, fonts, colors, layout, anything.
I’d love your honest feedback:
Is having editable outputs actually more useful than flat AI images for you
What would you use this most for: ads, client work, agencies, social content
What’s one feature that would turn this into an everyday tool for you
I’m around in the comments all day.
I’m early in my founder journey and genuinely want to learn from this community.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to check out DesignLumo 🙏

I used to rely heavily on Canva because it made getting started effortless. Templates cleared the initial creative block and helped me dive straight into design.
I have tried many Gen AI design tools since then, but DesignLumo is the first that gives me genuinely usable results. The out-of-the-box quality feels solid, and switching to the editor for quick tweaks is smooth and intuitive.

@shyjal Really appreciate you sharing this. Glad the templates and editor flow are working well for you. That’s exactly the experience we’re aiming for.

@joyal_a_johney Thanks so much! Yeah, Canva and Adobe are great, but we’re aiming to be way faster and more focused on specific niche like social media post so people can get designs done with almost no effort rather than softwares made for all.

Nice, can you upload your own design and edit them without losing image quality?
DesignLumo
@chilarai Hey, you can upload image / design reference and ask to recreate it.
it as vision capability like NanoBanana or chaGPT

@shajin nice. I'll try

Congrats on the launch! 🚀 @shajin
Curious: how does DesignLumo handle brand consistency across multiple outputs?
DesignLumo
@_muzammil_kt Thanks a lot! Right now we handle brand consistency through reusable styles & we have option to use brand kits where you can set brand DNS ones and use it for every designs without even prompting

@ingavu Thanks a lot for this. Glad the quality and editability stood out for you. Means a lot.

@guy_morad Yah we use multiple image including nana banana pro!
Great idea! As a designer myself, I find myself wanting to focus on building products more than dealing with layout, type, etc. since it's busy work, and I can tweak them if they need help (AI will always need help) :)
