Charlie is an online HR software for SME's. We believe that building a business is hard, so running one shouldn't be. When you’re working hard to bring your ideas to life, your first priority should be your team, not your admin. We created CharlieHR to solve the challenges that we faced while starting our own businesses.

I think it's a great product and good take on the business model; haven't jumped the gun to start using it yet, but definitely considering. I think you should consider adding support/integration for Google Apps for Work and maybe some UK specific support for employing foreign migrants, required documents, visa types etc. As far as I know no HR system does this.

@terencepmurray Thanks Terence! CharlieHR does work well with Google Docs but there's more we want to do with their full suite of apps. The onboarding process also accounts for ensuring employers are collecting the correct information and reminding teams to keep visas up to date. Is there anything else you think that would be useful?

@rjodonovan For Google integration, I was thinking more of SSO linked to Google Apps for Work. Our first stage of onboarding is creating an email in Google. In an ideal world employees could use this one email to access everything. For visas/foreign migrants, I was thinking of something related to the right to work checklist (https://www.gov.uk/government/pu... you could do something to make sure that employers are demonstrably compliant to the Home Office; I've spoken to a number of companies who have had similar requirements.

I just took a quick look, it's everything I'm looking for! Congratulations. One feature is missing for us to embrace it and quit using spreadsheets for this kind of shit: Being able to track the time (low granularity) spent on projects or macro-level tasks by each employees. Basically I need to be able to answer this kind of questions: "How many days have we spent on project X" ? "How many days Miss Y spent on R&D tasks" ? Is that something identified in your roadmap?

@rjodonovan @clodericmars @charliehr Please please integrate with other tools that already do this and more. I use Harvest to track time, and projects, and invoices, and it plugs into my accounts receivables tool (InvoiceSherpa), and and and… And if it did integrate, I'd be delighted! :)

We've all felt it...that time when you need a co-workers phone number, or to check a report's details. What was once distributed across XLS, Google Sheets, various inboxes and physical files is now NO MORE. Charlie has super UX and is the 1-stop-HR shop. We use it @forwardprt and love it. I actually enjoy using it, which is a little sad.
