Simplifying static site deployment with built-in domain management could significantly reduce DevOps overhead for frontend teams - especially useful for Jamstack implementations.
Really impressed by Appwrite Sites' approach as an open-source alternative to Vercel! The ability to have complete control over our deployment infrastructure while maintaining a streamlined workflow is exactly what many developers have been waiting for.
Btw, I'm curious though - for those who have tried both, what specific advantages have you found in Appwrite Sites compared to Vercel in terms of customization and deployment flexibility?
@can_liu Thanks Can!!! Sites will work really well with your backend project on Appwrite. But its also framework-agnostic. You can a static site—React, Vue, Astro, SvelteKit, Flutter etc.—without needing to configure special adapters or setups.
@can_liu The biggest benefit, in my opinion, is that Appwrite now becomes a one-stop shop for most everything you need to build a successful web app. You get auth, databases, storage, serverless functions, messaging, and website hosting with a simple and consistent developer experience and a transparent and straightforward pricing structure. Additionally, because Appwrite is open-source, you can see exactly what's running under the hood, which allows you to have a much larger voice as the platform grows and improves.

I used Sites by Appwrite to deploy a project and was surprised by how smooth the whole process was. Setting up a domain and using their templates saved me so much time—it’s a solid tool for fast, hassle-free deployment.

Huge congrats to the Appwrite team!
Appwrite Sites is the missing puzzle piece that takes the platform from powerful to complete. Being able to deploy both static and server-rendered apps directly within Appwrite is a huge win for devs tired of juggling multiple tools and services.
This seriously raises the bar for open-source dev platforms — now we can go from backend to frontend launch without ever leaving the Appwrite ecosystem. No more third-party hosting headaches, just clean and unified workflow from start to finish.
Can’t wait to spin up a few side projects with Sites. Amazing work team!
