I m currently building a small SaaS product, and I started thinking seriously about monitoring.
Most tools (Datadog, New Relic, etc.) feel built for larger teams.
Powerful, yes but also complex and expensive.
So I m curious:
What do you actually monitor in your small or solo SaaS?
Do you track uptime only?
Do you track latency?
Do you rely on logs?
At what point does monitoring start feeling like overkill?
I m trying to understand what is truly essential vs. what is just enterprise noise .

We just launched on Product Hunt today, and the feedback has been incredible so far.

We built Sheetful.co with a specific mission: to bridge the gap between static spreadsheets and professional development. Our goal is to transform any simple spreadsheet into a Full REST API, essentially turning your sheets into a functional, scalable database for your projects.

Now comes the "Build in Public" part: deciding what to build next.

There's a stat that keeps haunting me: 61% of young adults report feeling seriously lonely. Not occasionally seriously.

I know this number isn't abstract. When I started building Murror (an AI companion app for young people battling isolation), I was living it. Working from a tiny apartment, going days without a real conversation, completely absorbed in a product designed to solve the very problem I was drowning in. The irony wasn't lost on me.

Six months ago, I was stuck in a relationship that looked good on paper.

My partner was loving and kind but my feelings were gone.

Hard moments for open-source maintainers right now - they re getting flooded.
We re seeing repos like tldraw auto-closing pull requests because of AI-generated noise. The code may be syntactically fine, but the context isn t there, and review cost explodes.
We ve been polishing our open-source project specifically around cases like this: reducing low-context, high-noise PRs before they land in a maintainer s inbox.

I m mapping out a batch of agentic AI use cases to supercharge offline customer experience - think stores, salons, cafes. Going beyond knowledge assistants and Q&A chatbot..

Some ideas we re exploring:

• A restaurant table agent that handles specials, FAQs, and feedback.

• An in-store guide that helps retail customers find products and get personalised recos.

• A bookstore assistant who reads your past orders and mood to suggest what s next.

A founder coach who surveyed hundreds of builders said something that stuck with me: every single person she interviewed used the word "lonely."

That really stopped me.

Hey everyone! I had a massive reality check this month and wanted to see if other founders have experienced this.

We use Stripe for billing and HubSpot as our CRM. Our dashboard looked incredibly healthy, MRR was growing, and deals were marked as "Active." But out of curiosity, we cross-referenced our active paying users with our actual product analytics (Mixpanel/PostHog).

Turns out, almost 12% of our paying customers hadn't logged into the app in over 20 days. They were "ghosts." Because their Stripe subscription hadn't failed yet, our CRM was completely blind to the drop-off, and our CS team was doing nothing to save them.

We ended up having to build a native bridge to pipe usage data directly into HubSpot to fix this.

When you're bootstrapping multiple products, there's this physical feeling that shows up and nobody ever talks about it. Your stomach is somehow empty and full at the same time. This knot that just sits there while you're trying to figure out which project needs you most.

I run Sparkum, Biteme, and LifeLines all under Onyx Labs. No investors. Every dollar is ours. Some days that's exciting. Other days it's just heavy.

A few things that actually help me:

Get specific. The "everything is overwhelming" feeling is almost never true. It's usually one or two things hiding behind everything else. Name them. The rest gets lighter.

I m not very active on Twitter I usually take on the role of a silent stalker.

But I ve never seen such a flood of posts about AI being used in medicine as I have recently.

Lately I ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed with how many new products, repos, and tools are coming out every day.

There s a lot I d like to try or incorporate into my workflow, but in reality I rarely find the time to actually sit down and test things properly.

I've been sitting with something that feels hard to say out loud: building a startup can be genuinely lonely, and almost no one talks about it directly.

A 2025 survey of founders found that 72% experienced anxiety, burnout, or depression. But what struck me even more was this: only 12% turn to their investors for support. Most just hold it.

In one of the newsletters I follow there is this quote. What do you think about it?

 Chatbots comply with the user s wish to solve the problem on their own, even when this is impossible and may make matters worse. Chatbots, in fact, are not built to help, but to please. If you feel flattered when your LLM tells you how smart your question was (I certainly do), you are not alone: a pre-print from 2025 found that all major LLMs were highly sycophantic.

It's too early for meaningful data, growth trends, or any real signal on what's working, and I'm okay with that.

What I've noticed though is that the internet is full of milestone posts. First 100 users, $10k MRR, viral launches. And when you're pre-data, it's easy to accidentally use someone else's month 18 as your week 1 benchmark.

I'm not losing sleep over it, but it did get me thinking about how founders define meaningful progress before the numbers are there to tell the story.

My current approach is staying focused on qualitative signals are the right people finding it, are early users actually engaging, are conversations happening. But I'm curious what others have done:
