I am an indie hacker. I build software on my own and then run it for years. On the Mac: SpaceDeck, mission control for every app you live in. Kagemusha, which turns any website into a standalone Mac app. Koffret, which keeps only the menu bar icons you actually use. Caltimate, a native calendar that syncs with Google Calendar. On the web: @SOHO, a freelance marketplace with 300,000 members that has charged zero commission since 2004. Pinateca, project management with eight kinds of board. Halict, from form submission to answered in one screen. RizaFlow, booking for salons, studios and schools. Tsudoo, one place for a class, a club or a neighbourhood. Hi everyone. I am Hisashi, a developer from Japan.

In 2004 I built atsoho.com, a freelance marketplace, and I have run it on my own ever since. It has around 300,000 members and it charges zero commission. It serves Japanese users, so you have almost certainly never heard of it. I write the code, keep the servers up, answer the support mail and send the invoices.

When is the right time to launch on Product Hunt?

Because building products has become much more accessible thanks to AI, the bar has had to rise a bit, or at least the expectations have become stricter.

I built my own tool  SafeLimit, but personally, I wouldn t launch it on Product Hunt yet because it s still very basic and doesn t even have a website.

How many users does it take to validate a product?

When you're a first-time founder/maker, and you're the only person using your own product, you probably overlook important things. That's why you need to test the product with as many people as possible.

The problem is that time is limited. You have to decide not only how many people will test it, but also who those people should be.
