Inspired by Lenny s podcast with Ethan Smith (so good, you need to listen - the advice for builders is insane and can't believe it's free...), I wanted to share a few things I ve been seeing going deep into Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for @Meet-Ting.

I spend a lot of my day in GPT and Gemini, and over the last few months I started getting more curious about how their recommendations are actually pulled from the web. I'm not an expert, listen to the podcast, but I am actively tackling it so have some tactical learnings.

I won't hide the fact that instead of entering key phrases into Google, I'm now redirected to the GPT Chat and asking complex questions.

Over the past year, ChatGPT has become the 5th most visited website in the world, and most recently, it also recommends products.

AI search is particularly efficient for B2B SMBs / B2C as AI apps will give tailored product recommendations based on the user's context, that's why it's worth optimizing for.

On their livestream today, OpenAI just released a bunch of new tools for reliably building and using AI agents. From what I can tell, this is what's new-

New APIs:

• Responses API - a new multi-modal API that builds on chat completions to allow for the next-generation of tool calling, starting with the new tools announced today.

what gets me hyped about this whole category is how these tools are cracking the code on ai marketing's biggest problem: staying authentic while scaling like crazy. we're talking about ai that doesn't just spit out content it creates stuff that actually hits different, builds genuine trust, and gives people those good vibes that turn random visitors into ride-or-die fans. the tools in my collection are the real deal when it comes to this movement, from community platforms that actually understand culture to content creators that read the room and adjust their tone.
