What is the best tool to monitor social media mentions?

I use Notify and social monitoring in HubSpot because they sometimes produce different results (one tool notifies me of a mention while the other does not). One accurate tool would be handy. I mostly care about Twitter but monitoring sites like Reddit would be useful as well. Plus, the tool must integrate with Slack and I wouldn't like to spend more than $50-70/month.

    BRAND24

Keep track of your brand online.

I bet it must be inconvenient to shift from one tool to another. You might want to have a look at Brand24, too. We've got three different pricing plans, one of which is in the price range exactly like the one you mentioned. It does collect mentions from Reddit as well so whenever a keyword you monitor is mentioned in a subreddit, you should receive a notification about it. Speaking of a Slack integration, there's no better explanation on how it works than this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nLlGJoPjuk

A great tool that helps me understand where and how people discuss certain topics like "Alternative to [MyCompetitorName]", "How to [Solve the problem I sell a solution to]" so I can engage personally and try to convert.

Brand24 is a great app, especially if you're a business prone to any type of social media critics (like every type of business, nowadays?). It's just a much better way to know what people are saying about your brand then searching it through Google.

I heard of Spredfast because of their awesome SXSW party. The platform looks great (I'm getting a demo soon) and I know their pricing can work with your budget.
