What is good tool for project management?

I am starting the pet project with my folks. It would be separate from our main work. We are looking for something new, and preferably free. Now I am thinking about Asana or Jira but maybe I will change my decision based on your advice. :)

    The best recommendation depends on your specific needs but we are using Nuclino and so far are quite happy with it. It's easy-to-use and lightweight and works great in a small team.
