I've actually used Canary footage to win a case in court. Incredibly well built & the picture quality/night mode is exactly what one needs to protect their home in case of a break-in. Movement alerts are great too. πŸƒ

Regardless of if you pick the "big" unit or the tiny little camera, it's awesome. I have the big one and I'm obsessed. So many options for customization of alerts and privacy, plus "home health" tracking for temperature and air quality. It's the best option out there for home security IMO.

I preordered the Canary after their kickstarter ended. Loved the device. The app on Android was flaky for a year, but steadily improved. Until they added membership. Then they slowly took away all the features I loved and moved them to membership. Now I have a live streaming camera, not a security device.

This one is great. It's suitable for both indoor and outdoor and comes with great weather protection, something that other security camers lack. It's currently an "Amazon Choice" product for home security cameras.

I used this system for my apartment and loved it. DIY security but includes an alarm function, key fob and (recently new) number pad arming mechanisms. The cameras include a mic and the ability to move the lens via smartphone, which integrates all the pieces seamlessly. The only thing its missing would be an on-call support center for burglaries. Today, you get a push notification, text message and an optional phone call from an automated number.
