What's the best alternative to Google Hangouts?

Something that has a desktop/mobile/web application that supports video/audio calling and is easy to use

Zoom is my favorite. Works really well with large groups. Desktop app and mobile apps are great as well. I use the iOS app pretty often to jump on calls while on the go.

Loved Zoom. Not as buggy as Hangouts and much easier to use compared to the Cisco products. Works well on relatively low bandwidth as well.

Even I recommend Zoom for professional conferences but if you are looking for something more casual and fun than you might love Houseparty

At this point, WhatsApp covers all my personal communication needs. Voice calls, video calls, texts and a web client.

If you want to play with bots as well, Facebook's Messenger platform has everything under the sun.
