Short version: NepoNet finds the warmest chain of intros from you to anyone on X, you need to know a guy who knows a guy to achieve great things.
Type any handle. NepoNet maps who they follow, who follows you, and the people in between, then ranks the routes most likely to get you a real introduction to them. Every step is explained, the first ask is drafted for you to send.
We launch on Product Hunt on tomorrow during the OpenIAI Astra challenge and this thread explains why we built it, how it works, and who it's actually for.

Saw Ankush's forum post about the friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend research that led here - the "guessing who'd actually reply at 2am" pain is very real and specific. Curious how you score "warmth" beyond just mutual follows on X - does it weight things like recent interactions/replies between the two people in the chain, or is a stale follow from 3 years ago worth the same as an active mutual right now?
Nepotism Network
@galdayan It takes both into account, although follows have more weightage in current setup, when follows/following are limited, it prioritises recent interaction.
Think of it like the ELO rating calculation in Chess. This is just day 0, as more profiles get indexed by the platform, better rankings and calculations can be done

@ankushkun the ELO analogy actually clarifies it a lot - ratings that update on fresh signal but don't need to fully reset make sense for a graph that's mostly stale follows. day 0 is a fair caveat too, cold-start ranking problems always look rough before there's enough interaction data to calibrate against. will be curious to see how the weighting shifts once you've got a few months of real usage to tune it on.

The draft-the-ask step is what I'd lean on. I can write landing page copy all day and still freeze on a one line intro request. Does it keep my wording or does every ask come out sounding the same?
