Everything you need to know about Nepotism Network [Megathread]

Short version: NepoNet finds the warmest chain of intros from you to anyone on X, you need to know a guy who knows a guy to achieve great things.

Type any handle. NepoNet maps who they follow, who follows you, and the people in between, then ranks the routes most likely to get you a real introduction to them. Every step is explained, the first ask is drafted for you to send.

We launch on Product Hunt on tomorrow during the OpenIAI Astra challenge and this thread explains why we built it, how it works, and who it's actually for.

Last month we launched Construct here and it finished #1 Product of the Day, mainly because we knew what we needed, whom to reachout to, and what to ask for, if there was someone not in our connections, we had to farm our way through common people we knew and get a warm intro to hunters, makers with real audiences and founders whose reposts mattered.

We worked backwards to find who we already knew who knew them. Every ask went through someone the other person already trusted.

It worked, but it took weeks of scrolling follower lists, keeping spreadsheets and guessing who knows whom. NepoNet is that playbook turned into a product.

How it's different from what you're comparing it to

  1. LinkedIn's "2nd degree" connections
They tell you a connection exists, not whether it's a good one. They don't rank people or tell you who is likely to pass an intro along. And a lot of founders, investors and builders live on X, not LinkedIn.

  2. Lead and outreach tools (Apollo, Clay and so on)
They're built for cold outreach at scale. NepoNet does the opposite: one person at a time, the warmest path to them, and a message a friend would actually forward.

  3. Scrolling "Followed by…" on X or other socials
It shows you one hop, and only people you follow. NepoNet looks several hops deep, on both sides, and ranks every route.

All routes are scored, not just found. A mutual follow is much warmer than a one-way follow. Someone following 5K accounts might miss your message, and someone with a million followers is unlikely to pass an intro along. Every hop says why, in plain words.

Sometimes the best move is one new connection before you ask for anything. NepoNet shows who that is, with evidence like "Followed by 3 of the 171 accounts follows".

NepoNet use ChatGPT 6 Astra for analysis and one click reads up on everyone on the route, and prepares a plan: who to message, when, why they'd help, and drafts for each message. It only uses facts from the graph, and never sends anything on your behalf without you knowing it, so you have full control in your hand.

It works inside your agent. NepoNet also gives users a remote MCP server, so ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Cursor and any harness can lookup routes to people, draft asks and track outreach. You approve only what the agent is allowed to do.

Who this is for

  • Founders raising money or looking for a first design partner

  • Makers planning a launch who want the right people to see it

  • Job seekers who want a referral, not another application in the pile

  • Anyone who has had "if only I knew someone who knew them" in their head

Who this is honestly not for

  • You want to blast thousands of DMs. NepoNet never sends anything, by design.

  • We're X-only for now, but we have plans to add more platforms (Linkedin, Instagram, Mastodon, Threads, etc)

We go live on Product Hunt September 18. Supporters get one month of Premium for free.

Ask us anything in here: scoring, crawling, limits, privacy, the parts that are still rough. I'll answer all of it.

Cheers 🍻
