Seems like a logical next step for Zoom to offer this. It will create an entirely new ecosystem for people to earn a living.

@leandro8209 Agreed, people have made businesses off zoom calls, this makes a ton of sense!

Zoom now competing with Airbnb Experiences. 🤔

PM for OnZoom chiming in! @rrhoover A lot of folks in this space TBH. AirBnb has a really great hybrid approach helping their physical hosts do online experiences for a few really fun types of events. OnZoom is more open to all kinds of events. There is overlap but more variety already in what we are seeing folks hosting OnZoom.

@rrhoover According to the Job Theory, they do! They also compete with car manufacturers :D

The idea is great but why not a platform supporting many video platforms and not just a particular one?

It's clear to me why zoom would build one that only works with their video conferencing software...nothing stopping a more open version of this being built.

How is OnZoom different from normal Zoom?
Victor Daniel Cardenas
@veena_sreedhar1 I believe they make monetization of video streams/classes/etc easier. Specifically, I think they enable selective admission to a call to those who have paid for a course/access beforehand :)

It was only a matter of time until Zoom took this step. I am curious to see how it will develop.

Stole my idea :-( But I will launch one here soon!

Makes sense that Zoom would build this. As someone selling a lot of Zoom-hosted webinars via Eventbrite right now, I would definitely consider switching to a platform that lets me do everything in one place. Especially since I don't see any obvious mention of Zoom charging a fee? My only hesitation is that Zoom's customer support is absolutely terrible - we spent 3+ months trying to sort out a billing issue before giving up. Not sure I want to have to rely on them for issues with my sales too.🤔
